  1. Ouch... I think I just gave myself a concussion facepalming to this.
  2. i bought my last kit at FREDS of all places.. cheap as crap. Heres the thing that i think helped the most: I didn't tighten the screw back down in it. The mirror wobbles around like nuts but never comes off. I do have to give it a finger tighten every now and then cause the screw backs itself out completely.
  3. a computer from 03 shouldn't be all ~that~ slow for things like browsing the web and watching movies. If yours seems slow, maybe it's time to wipe the hard drive and reinstall your OS fresh. Computers build up bloat over time, that's just the way it is. Wipe the drive and stay away fromthe 10 million downloads out there that seem so cool at first but never are in the long run....
  4. failure to post. unplug it, yank open the case and pull the bios battery and wait a few minutes before putting it all back together. if that don't work, there may be a jumper to move to reset your bios.
  5. craigslist? or maybe the FOR SALE/WTB forum?
  6. ummm.... congrats? now life starts to suck!
  7. on a single aq2200, you could do 2 of just about any 15 out there.. aq sdc series would be a good budget start if you want to stick with the same brand name. a pair of DC lvl 2's would also be a good choice.
  8. Then it should be done like the 18+ forum. If you're not a member, you don't see what's going on in there.
  9. interesting my BS thread got locked but this one got left alone. Guess i'm not one of the cool kids
  10. Seriously, no one cares about how much you hate rants. IF you don't like the rants, don't rant about it, just don't read it. Seriously like OMG like.. go die and stuff. /rant
  11. i don't think they've made regular PCI graphics cards in nearly a decade. you MUST mean pci express 16x.. in that case, you can buy one off newegg for as cheap as like $35
  12. i like 2 3 and 4 myself. the rest are just... meh
  13. You're welcome to use the design in my build log. And mine looks like a 6th order as well but when you crunch the numbers you get a front chamber of 2.9 cubes with 660 square inches of port 6 inches long meaning its tuned to 150 hz so all 6th order properties are bunked. My boxes dimensions are slightly smaller then your max for width and height, and although tuned to 36 hz i still peak at 45 with it. I made a temporary port insert for it recently that's not in the log that shrinks the port 1.5" both ways and drops the tuning to 31 hz. I'm still on the fence of whether I want to keep the change. It make my noticeable peak go down to 40-41 hz though. This box got me a 152 on the termlab so...
  14. Clean construction on pretty standard boxes. A good start to a long learning experience. keep it up!
  15. Hummina hummina hummina....
  16. november 5-7th is friday through sunday, not 4-6.... and i'm off that weekend, I MIGHT possibly go.
  17. a bass knob will not BOOST your gain it ATTENUATES it. The knob at it's full potential basicly opens up your amp to where it's gain is set. How do you use it properly? Turn the knob all the way up before setting your gains! This isn't rocket science people. They don't cause clipping, clipping is caused by user error (and on rare occasion, music producer error like a couple of the guys wishing they were decaf on this site...)
  18. I like my speakers to sound good, and prefab box with a high tuning is not my definition of sounding good.... I'd get the 15 and spend $40 on the supplies to build my own box for it. Not only would that be the best sounding of the 3 but you'd have a box built to fit your vehicle better, you'll gain some knowledge and experience, and you'll have a greater appreciation of this hobby we all love.
  19. 1. Weight does matter that much. 2. horsepower and torque may be close , but lower horsepower and torque on a heavier car makes that much more difference. 3. the horsepower and torque ratings may be at different RPM, something that puts the smaller motor way past it's stall on the transmission making it grab and go well before it has enough ass to get the tires turning. 4. glad to see people on here are finnally using the COOL STORY BRO/BRAH meme correctly, yes it's supposed to be a smart-ass "you're a dumbass" sorta rebuttle.
  20. my truck's a '92 with 245k miles on it, and i haven't had to fix more then a few coolant leaks since i've gotten it. Point is, mileage don't mean jack squat, and people who won't buy something with mileage are usually the ones who wouldn't be able to fix something if it went wrong anyways. Leave the real deals to us real men who can! haha.
  21. ....... .... you haven't learned to drive yet, yet you been installing car audio for 6 years.. hmmm put a simple switch on the REMOTE WIRE of the amp, i'm sure you know what a remote wire is since you've been installing for so long. seriously, stop posing, posers get worst raps then noobs.
  22. my stuff +1 for the musician forum (little more broad then just guitars...)
  23. So let me get this straight, her dad lives 6 hours away, so obviously doesn't get to see HIS DAUGHTER as much as he would like, then you get all pissy cause seeing her all year, you can't see her for 2 little months? Seems kinda FUCKING SELFISH to me. Shut the fuck up, let her dad see her, don't be a FUCKING DICK. that is all.
  24. build log? pictures of woofas? Nice flex vid though, reminds me of a guy i once knew with a solo x 18 on a hifonics (whatever the model claiming 10k rms) in a honda civic hatch back. tire flex, wipers bouncing, blew the sub in 2 weeks lol. your dc should handle it a lot better imo. get those pictures and build log coming!
