  1. FYI.....setting it to FULL means the pots do NOTHING, it's passing the FULL signal from the HU to the speakers. Assuming he has either an active HU or processor inline BEFORE the amp then he would want to set it to FULL...
  2. I expect to see Kranny at this show, time to get off the forum and come out and have some fun....

  4. i cant believe im like 45-60 minutes (iirc) from you and i have never met you. He's part of Team DOA and does plenty of shows in the area, so you need to drag you ass out to one this year. I usually post up the local ones we plan to attend. Kris is a cool kid, met him a few years ago at a show in Algonquin. I was demo'ing for him, playing his music and had NO idea he was the man behind the music...until he told me....true story. We do team cook outs at my place in Beach Park, about 40 minutes from you. You need to make it out to one of them and meet the team and hear some rides...
  5. you're 3 hours from me if you'd be interested in picking one up in person as I don't ship...
  6. I run Crescendo xst's with my PA mids and they match up nicely and get very loud. Assuming you'll mostly be playing rap with your set up then midbass shouldn't be a big concern...
  7. haven't heard the comp set but I own 5 of their 4ch amps and a bunch of super tweeters. Solid equipment at a reasonable price and Navid is a great guy to deal with...
  8. Tweeter can be a little bright, but some EQ work can tame that. Guy on my team ran them for a year or so, but switch up to PA stuff as he only wanted to be LOUD...
  9. Doesn't look close to the 9:1 ratio.....I see lots of port noise and restriction. How about porting UP through the rear deck?
  10. 2 18's or 4 15's is what I'd try to do. Might also consider a port reducer for daily and playing Decaf's stuff. That's how I had mine set up since AQ's like higher tuning...
  11. My old Altima set up was 2 15" HDC's off 4 sundown 1500's. 149@34Hz was the best it did. Front firing and sealed off which seams to be the way to go in that car.
  12. I've seen the crescendo's run at .5ohm strapped, so .25ohm per amp. Playing music, not a burp. What will your electrical consist of as that will determine if you should try .5ohm each or not???
  13. how many alts/batts up front? If you're primarily drawing off off a rear batt bank then extra runs aren't necessary. I ran 28kw off 2 runs of 1/0 and adding 2 more did NOTHING...
  14. AQ or kicker? AQ 15's do very well in 4.25 if you plan to run a lot of power to them. otherwise up to 5cubes each modest power like 1000-1500 each.
  15. 15's do well in around 8.5cubes net, so see if you have the space. I did a box for 2 L7's for a DOA member that does a 48.9 on music and it's tuned for daily, so they can perform in the right enclosure.
  16. SDC's like the same boxes as HDC's. I've built a lot of enclosures for both boxes. Lower tuning won't hurt the sub, but you'll lose some mid/upper end bass is all. I'd knock out the port bend to raise tuning and gain a little more box volume. For 2 15's I'd do 8.5cubes with 16^2 of port area per cube and tune 36-38Hz. Nice combo for daily and hitting the lows...
  17. Had a few SKIL routers, but burned them up in about 1 1/2 years each since I build a lot of boxes. Have a Bosch now that was around $250 and it's killer...
  18. talked to someone today and the sound comp is still on. Decaf and his caddy will be at this show along with a bunch of other DOA cars...
  19. 2 15" SDC's off a 1200 should do around a 150 if the wall is build properly for the subs. 8.5cubes net with 16^2 port area per cube and tune around 38Hz unless you listen to mostly C&S stuff. You could also go bigger on port area and tune a little higher, then make a port reducer to drop tuning for daily. I've built a lot of AQ/DD walls...
  20. is there a sound comp at this show? What meter do they use?
  21. Yes the audio guys will be separate from the show car guys. You can't drive 40+ minutes for a show??? I drove 10+ hrs each way for a show in MO last month. Were's you dedication
  22. Some of the Team DOA guys are making the drive out for this one...
  23. Team DOA will have several cars there competing in the car audio part...
  24. BIG turnout at this show and was a great time accept for the weather, just too hot. DOA took home 5-6 trophies in the Sound comp, including Decaf in S1 and the Altima was loudest of the day...
