yes 6-8s can get quite loud and sound quite good as well. Tuning is right on 40-45hz is good for 8's. If you have a 1 channel/mono amp...and 6 dual 4ohm subs...you can get it down to 1.33ohms. towards the bottom of this page... http://mobile.jlaudio.com/support_pages.php?page_id=161

in those last 2 pics... You stretched material over em, layed mat and then sanded+rounded where it meets the pvc once it cured? Or just used mat? I'm kinda curious and about what measures where taken to make sure the matt or glass you used adhered to the pvc...? Looks great thus far BTW

Cheap & GOOD Quality don't exactly go together...you get what you pay for in most cases. Go with a better set of subs and spend a lil more or just some 12's. BNIB: Kicker CVR12's are $75 each/shipped on ebay Kicker CVR15's are around $120each Kicker CVX12's are around $150each Elemental designs is blowing out it's stuff cheap...ev13.0D2's are about $70ea+shipping I think, and Parts Express Is blowing out it's audiopulse 12's for $129.99each. Lotsa GOOD stuff there and some decent low $$ stuff too.

It's either an "ok" CGI...or here's what happended: If you look at where his SHADOW is mid jump, its reflecting on the SIDE of the car...meaning he is IN FRONT (closer to the camera) and thus NOT IN LINE with the path or the car... I went from an older Alpine deck with 4v pre-outs to a newer Alpine with only 2v pre-outs and noticed a pretty substantial drop....then went to a kenwood with 5volt and it was "back" to how I remember it and at no point did i change the gains.
