  2. Kyle first off, you funny calling me retarded, as I've forgotten more then you will ever know about car audio, and I mean that. Second I wanna say his name was brad, I believe but I really dont remember, he opened his shop back up in OK city shortly after leaving dd, after all there change stuff. But carry on with what ever you think you know. hey jeff , since you have had both 9k and 10k , both on a 12v system. what numbers did u clamp out of each ? Heck, I've never had the 9.0s, I had the American bass 1100.1 which is very similar to the 9.0, the most I remember seeing out of those was 12-13k rising above 3ohm strapped. The only clamp I have done on the 10.0s what 15k strapped rising to 2.8ohms dropping to 13.2. The 10.0s however seem to make more power and is alot easier on my electrical fully tilt. Full tilt bass boxing runs tho it still will drop to 11.8 with the engine tacked at 2k
  3. I'm by no means defensive, I know what they can do. However. Telling the general public that they can run it into the 9-10 is not wise. Rusty has used to 10.0s in Ana's Rex street a style off 1 battery and got a good amount of power. Lets put it this way. The hu shut off due to low voltage before the amps did. Secondly I'm not buying the fact that the ddm4a is a 5k amp. A few weeks ago yes, but after talking with a DD employee I was enforced that's the same amp as the aq3500.1. I know not everyone can fit alot of batts or is limited in ea class, but using a larger amp with less that ideal electrical, it forces a higher reactive load I sense, being less effecent making less power. Properly powering a smaller amp with lower rise in turn making rated power or better, in result having the same power with either step up. That's with any amplifiers, not just DC
  4. Electrical says alot, when rusty had the 7 kinetik 16v he was seeing roughly 6500watts per 9.0, once he switched to the 12 Xs xp1000s he was then seeing close to 11k per 9.0.
  5. Nothing I guess, if that's your thing, personally I've never took my 2 10.0s below 11.8, and that lower then I'd like. Only because setting the amp while idle at 14.8-14.9, dropping down in the 11 volt range will have some distortion present.

  8. That's a vcm. It's not voltmeter. It's a voltage control module for your alternator.

  10. ^^^^this is the reason you need to do simple math and go by what the manufacturer tells you it will handle. Every rating is listed on the web site. 2 lvl 3s, 900x2. = 1800. Tht what you should use a few hundred watts +/- is ok, but NOT 2,000. If you wanna gamble and willing to except the fact you void your warranty by using well beyond the rating that's on you.
  11. Pull the batt, fully charger it then let it it over nite and check voltage. If its low like you explain then its bad. Running a battery in a car that have a low charge is useless, as the vehicle isn't a charger, and wont put the deep charge on a battery
  12. With everything being hand assembled its rare anything is damaged and requires being discounted to sell.
