if you cant do the sub justice, dont stick it in a shitty box size. get two lvl 5s or xl 15s and be done with it. no point in jammin 4 15s into a space for 2, maybe 3.

4 seems small, usually 18s are 5-8 cubes. You cou do 3 18s though. someone with more knowledge will chime in. but usually smaller box, more power.

That would just raise the tuning. put your ssf 5hz below box tuning, check your gain to see if it is right, 3/4ths seems like a lot to ME(mine is usually at 1/3).

my real world testing says that L7s are louder ported... and thats with 3 different sealed enclosures and 2 different ported enclosures..

decaf's songs are all bass enhanced songs. He usually slows them slightly and boosts the bass lines. as far as tuning, 30-35 will work fine, ive have/had (new port extension) them also tuned at 40hz and they still pounded lows. But i would recommend 33hz.

Depends on application, but yes, the XL and Lvl 5 are quite underrated.

maybe by a few watts or so, nothing major i dont think. not like kicker either, where a zx2500 is birthsheeted at like 2950.

DCs can be power hungry but they are also efficient, but that depends on the enclosure also. If you don't care to much for high cone area, consider 1 lvl 4 12, I personally love them, they get low too, 1 lvl 4 15 playing 15Hz tone would shake my window about 3/8ths of an inch(drivers side window partially rolled down). It performed great down to songs with 28hz, did great with 45hz too.

i found the root of the problem. the flexing of the back of my cab caused all the other shizz to start rattling. I got some rubber/foam stuff and put it between my box and the back wall, no more rattle... and you cant even see it.

All the rattling is because the port is up, so the back panels towards the top and the single piece that runs across the top is rattling. Could I do like a shim or something to prevent them from moving?
