I voted Klipsch and Onkyo. The Denon I ordered my parents for their home theater setup was the most difficult POS in the world to configure. Needless to say, we exchanged for an Onkyo. Much better. Also, every Klipsch setup I've heard has blown me away.

So, we all know that people generally use wire in the range of 12-8ga from their amp(s) to woofer(s). My question is, if we're using that thickness wire to transfer anywhere from 1000-10000+ watts to a woofer, how in god's name does that tiny, almost hair-thin piece of copper running between the tinsel leads and coil come close to handling all that?? I've always wondered that when seeing pics of woofer guts, and don't understand it. I'm embarrassed that I'm halfway through EE undergrad and can't solve this. Is it just because it's totally uninsulated and is a short run?

No. Haha wiring these speakers is just like wiring the coils on subs. No difference. They way I described, you will end up with three 8Ω loads in parallel.

I would do this. 6x9 - 6x9 in SERIES, times three. (8Ω total impedance per pair) Pair 1 - Pair 2 - Pair 3 all in PARALLEL with each other. (2.67Ω final impedance if I did my math right )

Honestly, there were a couple other places that were pretty shitty on the inside that were asking $2000+/mo before utilities. We are definitely grateful to have found this one- haha we're gonna treat it right, but like you mentioned...a party here and there can't hurt Oh, and we will DEFINITELY be investing in some renter's insurance.

It's me and three friends- rent is going to be $1400/mo before utilities and TV/Internet bills. I figure it's going to run is somewhere in the neighborhood of $420-450 each per month, probably on the higher end of that. But thanks man! So this is my first time doing anything like this- I've lived with my parents or in dorms my whole life so far. Next year (my junior year of undergrad) I'll be living in this house in the Pittsburgh area- nice place IMO. 4 bedrooms, so I'll be living with three good friends. All modern amenities/appliances, new insulation and wiring, and the current tenants had nothing but good words about the place and the landlord. SUPER stoked! Ninja pic:

I'm starting preliminary research on them- I would really like my next vehicle to be a RWD or AWD sedan. My candidates are really the G8, WRX (non-STI), and maybe that new Subaru BRZ if I go with a coupe. BUT this thread is about the G8. If you've got one, what do you think about it? I am also over on the G8Board, but I'd also like to hear what my SMD buds have to say.
