  1. So no one comments on the opinion of the guy who is near $100k deep in his electrical engineering degree. ok. Also, maybe im misunderstanding what you want to do, but aren't you wanting something that will light up when you hit the brake? Cause all but one of those switches would make you have to hit the brake once to turn it on and then again to turn it off. also, why would he need to add a fuse to the existing headlight wires? sounds kinda pointless.
  2. Im no lawnmower expert... but I am close to halfway through my electrical engineering degree. My suggestions for the easiest solution: Hook up a relay just like you would for an amp. Slightly longer answer: Get a dmm. Find a spot on the wire you said you have for the switch on the brake pedal. Tap it. Check and see if it has voltage. If so, check and see if it grounds (goes to 0 volts) when you hit the pedal. If it doesn't have voltage, see if it does when you hit the pedal. If it only has + voltage when you hit the pedal, hook it up to the + side of a relay and the - side to ground. If it has voltage before you hit the pedal and grounds when you hit the pedal, either tap the other side of the switch (Id recommend because its late and I haven't really thought this through) or hook the - on the relay to the original tap site and the + to constant +. Obviously hook the relay up to the brake light as you would expect. Note: I didn't read that thread that was posted. Note2: I apologize if I didn't explain that well. Its late and ive been doing homework all day.
  3. ...Ive never seen a movie only be in 3d? lol. wouldn't make sense... hardly anyone has 3D capable equipment, so it would atleast have to be on dvd etc non 3D.
  4. It looks to me like that y pipe would be the one that comes off the exhaust manifolds, but it doesn't really matter because it won't get you the dual exhaust you are looking for unless you only want two tips.
  5. Wow. Looks pretty impressive. This one of the videos you were talking about? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsw16g1wa9g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tsw16g1wa9g
  6. If you have a v8 you have two exhaust pipes coming out of your engine. Looks like that is what would connect them together for a single pipe to the back, so it wouldn't be what you want. What kind of car is it for?
  7. Ive got two build logs on here but this type of work isn't really that much of an interest to the people on here so I wasn't ever that motivated to update. Here is the latest which links to the first. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/51266-1967-mustang-restoration-reserection-thread/page__p__712148__fromsearch__1entry712148 Since the last post I finished up the passenger pans and moved to the drivers. The pan was finished that summer but I haven't gotten to the toe pan yet. This last summer was spent mostly getting my probe ready to sell and then doing some audio work to my talon which conveniently got stolen. Work to the mustang was spent mostly re sandblasting some stuff I had already blasted but didn't paint as well as I should have. I started this project when I was 15 so it has been a learning experience as can be seen in places. (such as some welds) In general school has been getting in the way unfortunately.
  8. Somerset where I used to live has a pretty legit car show every month in the summer if you are into a bias of classic cars. Occasionally I hear rumors of a "sound competition" but nothing very legit.
  9. that being said... even fixing up an old one is still quite expensive.
  10. Try putting a load on the rails. I used to modify a computer power supply and sell them on ebay for r/c purposes and the one I used wouldn't fully turn on if I didn't load the 5/3.3 volt rails... so it could be the same with this one.
  11. Looks like it pounds. I had a couple probes for a bit, basically the same thing besides body. Stuffed 2 18's in there for a while.
  12. Yea, lets bring back a somewhat dead thread. So in comparison to your old btl... How did you have your btl wired? Parallel? Im guessing not series? The reason I mention it... Im not sure if you knew, cause I don't remember you ever saying anything about it when I bought it from you... But one of the coils was open. During the 2 days I actually had it playing before it got stolen I just had it running on just one coil.
  13. Ok, so the only parts that could really be recognized are the logic board and hd right? screen battery case etc don't show up. If you can replace a hard drive, there must be some way to get the software back on, but it might be tied to the board? If you can replace the board there must be some way to keep the os that is on the hd. So seems to me, it would have to be possible to do it somehow, or you couldn't replace the hard drive because it wouldn't have anything to run on. Maybe if you can't do the new parts together you could throw the hd on a working ipod and then transfer it to the new board. Im not experienced in this field though. Its not like apple sells licenses to the ipods though... so it seems like there isn't a firm hold on keeping from "piracy"
  14. how will the car be shipped? Will it be in a container? I would think if the box is in the car and the car is in a container not too much would be able to get to it.
  15. Well somehow I managed to sign up. First tried to sign up but my username wasn't available... but I was able to login. Guess that means somehow something got synced. Anyways looks like a good start
  16. If you aren't doing anything too intense any of those should work well for you. Ive got a 30 gal craftsman with a similar airflow and it does anything I want it to up to the sandblaster I stress it out with. Id keep in mind the vertical ones will take up less space though.
  17. First 3 questions are all dependent on what you want to be able to do. If you don't like the quick up and down id probably recommend 3/8 as it will be slower, just like you want it. As far as compressors and tank... How much do you want to be able to play around with it? Will it be just a lift and move or do you want to be able to play around? The less playing around you want to do, the smaller compressor and tank you can get away with. Good sites are around. Im a fan of suicidedoors.com. Haven't actually bought anything for my air ride setup yet but when I do it will probably be from there.
  18. x2. You could probably do the 18 especially if you didn't mind going a bit higher but the 15 would probably be a better option. Also depends on how you want it to sound etc. Ports can take up a lot of space. As far as a best subwoofer... Thats hard to say. It is definitely a good sub, no doubt there. Plus neo versions just came out... we will see how well they perform. Im sure we won't be disappointed.
  19. Can't you just put the specs for shipping as a lot higher than they really are or have they changed that?
  20. Nice find. Be sure to let us know how you like the imprint... ive been considering it for mine.
