But i got a great deal on this little rig so i think im going to have some fun with it. should be picking it up monday, ill post up some pics before i even clean it. ^^^ thats kinda what i meant by 4link front and rear, put a 10bolt straight axle under the front, match the pinion gears front and rear. could lift it as high as i wanted that way, i just dont wanna make it that much of a project right away. prolly just do a simple torsion bar an blocks, drive it thru winter. ill put up a pic when i bring her home...

Hey guys i just wanted to ask someone, im getting a 95 jimmy, 4x4 4door etc...next week. And its in need of some new rubber so im wanting to put some 33s on it. And get it up a little higher, so i was wondering what my cheap options are on lifting it? I know nothing about 4x4 stuff, im sure its basic just like dropping them. I thought i would ask some questions before i go tearing it apart. Any input would be great guys thanks!

Brands are going to be personal preference. As far as how does it ride? well that depends. if you spend $2000 on your lowered suspension it will ride great. same with air, If its done right it will be a nicer ride than lowered. As far as struts, struts can ride better than bags if done correctly. The problem with struts is the pivot movement you get with stock struts is taken away when you mount the brackets used with struts. your control arms pivot from the inside of the vehicle, meaning the distance from the outer area of the control arm and the inner are going to be different. If the strut is mounted solid to either control are (how most people do it) than your strut only moves up and down, which doesnt allow your suspension to move freely. Which makes it ride stiff and tend to use a lot of psi to get it off the ground. Basically what im getting at is if you buy stock brackets its going to ride pretty stiff, if you can have someone in your area fab up some custom brackets you'll be a lot better off. Also with cylinders think more air less pressure. there is no need to run 200-250psi in your ride. try using a larger tank, and keeping it around 130-150. I've rambled enough, as far as answering you basic question, hit up suicidedoors.com Airbagit.com Fbirides.com Those are some good places to get started on building your air suspension.

Yeah i don't think that's a rock. I'm leaning toward tree limb of some sort. A bird would have to have hit pretty damn hard to leave a clean mark like that. Besides its got a funny shape to be a bird. Sucks mane, i would think a the dent and paint would cover your $500 deductible on an 09' lex thou?

baby names??
superdave07 replied to matt3477's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
when we were looking at names i liked carrera, madelyne. Boy names Talon, Bryce(which is now my sons name lol) and of coarse Voltron but in all seriousness its hard to decide on a name. my son was supposed to be a girl, all the way up to the time he was born they told us it as a girl. so we had carrera picked out and i fell in love. Then bam! came out with a penis. so we were back to square one at the hospital lol. Good luck! -
Airbrush artist
superdave07 replied to superdave07's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
not to bring back an old post, but Ive been away from my computer a lot. anyways i decided to jump in balls deep with this. bought a cheap-o single action airbrush from harbor freight to start with. I also have a dual action satajet that i bought brand new from a buddy. There is a guy local to me that does a lot of custom graphics and airbrush work. im going to hit him up at this car show coming up. We know each others cars but not really ever talked face to face. I've also been doing a lot of reading up and talking with artist. I think its going to be a lot of fun, its def going to be something that takes time to perfect. But like any other art ive done, ill finger it out as i go... Ill post up some first attempt pics this weekend for y'all to laugh at -
Ok well now lets talk bass knobs. I am going to have a tough time getting the amp settings to be matched, let alone try to work two bass knobs. Since the AP bass know is a two wire set up, can i splice both wires from both amps into one knob? has anyone tried this? i would think it would work find but im not sure about distorting the signal? Any help would be great!

alright so this is a noob question, but id rather ask and know for sure than to damage any equipment. I am looking to run two AP30001d amps, one per subwoofer. My question is since they do not have a pass thru rca set up on them, how would i do that? do i need a processor or equalizer? Or a simple Y splitter in the RCAs? Any help here would be great, thanks guys!
