My alt grounds through the chassis. When I upgraded to 130 I cleaned the mounts on alt and engine. Should I run wire to frame also?

Your just gonna end up running long lengths of 1/0. Do it the same way though. Run 1/0 from alt to batt with a fuse at each end. Then run ground from engine to batt, then ground batt to chassis/frame. Same concept just longer wire

Seems like it could be a poor amp ground. I've had this problem because of poor rcas causing a humming noise but it went away when I turned the unit off. Are you turning it off or just muting it?

is it a pop or more of a humming? what is your remote wire using for a source? does it do it with the rcas unplugged?

i would say 12 or 10. you could just do bolt terminals too

ill admit im guilty of this. but i generally only text at stop lights or at stop signs. but i cant read shit on my phone when im poundin the subs haha so that makes it pretty pointless. but i agree. i hang up on my girl if she calls me while shes driving, shes not exactly the best driver, all gas or all brake. im always driving haha

I bought it on ebay. Great deal and I loved it. However now the voltage doesn't display anymore. The stinger part still lights up and I checked all my connections and they're all good. The only thing I can think of is that something happened to the circuitry cuz it worked one minute then I turned my car off and when I came back it didn't work. What's going on?

Find a module to sync it. I know ledglow.com all their systems have the brain to do that

kenwood kvt-516. great unit. im personally a big fan of kenwood headunits. ive never had any trouble with any of them. i would definitely recommend that over the soundstream. i guess i was a little awestruck by the 8.3" screen on the soundstream so it popped in my head first haha

price varies by options. that particular one had nav and bt. not sure if thats a requirement or not for you. i guess it would help to know if you want nav/bt/tv tuner

soundstream is releasing a 8.3" flipout hu. its going to be ~$600. distributor was just in my shop today talking about how cool it was haha. but it is pretty cool how it works. might be able to find a demo on youtube. its hard to describe the opening mechanism. unit is VIR-8333NB
