I would hope that a dealer would give you at least $3k for it..maybe more. A dealer would probably try to sell it for like $12k (..or if you're one of the over priced dealers around here .. more like $15-18k :| )

Ouch 4cyl and 2wd... I was watching some videos on youtube of lifted rangers and some guy had one and in the comments he said his is the 6cyl and somebody else had a 4cyl lifted one (both with big tires and such) and it's not .. very good. Doubt he's planning on offroading with it, though. I think you have something confused with the tire size though 26" stock? A new full size truck/suv comes with like 18-20" lol Yeah, they look more like 8k or 10k.. but in the 2nd pic and somewhat in the third pic the lights from the top of the gas station look purple, and I'm almost 100% sure they aren't so yeah.

If you're not too worried about 2wd (can use another vehicle or good tires and wait till roads are plowed and don't live in the middle of nowhere, etc.) then get it. A/C can be added in for about $1k (at least it can on new vehicles that don't have a/c) and I'm sure you could get a seat somewhere.. and pw aren't THAT important.

I don't care much for small trucks, but it's okay I suppose. I hope it's at least 4wd? Also those really don't look like 32" tires but yeah. I hope my 55w 6k hids have some blue in them like my 35w 6k's did.. those 35w 5k's look fairly blue so I'm hopeful

2wd...ouch. It has "rubber" floors? Was that an option or something? The miles compared to the year and the fact that the woman passed makes me think she was old. It doesn't have a back seat ...and has rubber flooring (which I doubt was an option), which makes me wonder what she used it for.. hmm... it doesn't really matter though, I guess. I know how much these cost new, and doubt they were THAT much cheaper back then, so if you have the money for one of these.. why would you get the VERY basic model with manual windows and such? Ugh, too many questions for me to ask lol.. I say go for it... or see if your mom will let you buy it for $2k then trade it in on something else (if you need a vehicle) or something because I'm sure you could get more than $2k for it from a dealer with those miles and it looks to be rather clean (something on the seat there..)

There was some not so helpful post here, but I was bored so decided to search (as you should have.. took me like 3 seconds to find an answer) and it's below.. I don't know how old this car is, I'm guessing a first gen since she let it sit for over a year... but if it's newer than like 2000 then there should be a red pull out jumper by the fuse box, if that isn't there (and it's newer than like 2000) then that means the battery went dead with the security system activated...and if that's the case then: Buy a male-to-male cigarette lighter adapter at the auto store. Connect between your car's (boxster) cigarette lighter socket and the other car's (any other car with a non dead battery) cigarette lighter socket. Do not try to start the ignition or the any other electronics. You should not even need the key in the ignition. You should be able to pop the door locks with the remote and open the trunk.
