I like this choice of equipments. But you can go cheaper on the amps, h u and on the comps(just get one set for the front doors). If you can build your box it's good, if not, save some money and get a good custom box from a pro box builder. Good luck

Hello, I need an amp for my fully loaded BTL N2 (DVC2). I recently heared about DC amps. Only good reviews ! And I have been in contact for subs, with Rusty (I think so) : very fast answers, nice guy ! I like that, even if we did not make the deal ! I can't see where to have info about those amps (except their web site), and I need at least price info. I don't know yet if I want the 2000 or the 3500 watts amp, but I need to upgrade my current one (a Sundown saz 1500 currently, I wanted the 2500). Where are they shipped from ? I'm in the Caribbeans, so shipping can be very expensive, but I will pay what I have to pay, as usual ! Waiting for info. Thanks

Make it the bigger you can (within Kicker specs), you'll love it ! I had one in a 3.1 ft3 box and I think it would have love more room, but it was sounding good : low and heavy bass ! Tune it to 32-33 Hz to have big output AND low notes too. Good luck !

Get a set of JBL gti 608. I found some for $210 on e bay. Nice midbass, nice brand ! Well built speakers. Or on the cheap the Phoenix Gold rsd had great success last year. You can find them easily.

yellowtops or bluetops are not bad, but cheaper !!! Deka makes a G31 batt too : they're cheaper and good. 3500 is enough for your car, but you will have higher numbers on the xl's with the 5k. I don't know for how long they'll handle that power, but it WILL be loud for sure !!! Do the xl's rather than the level 5's : they will ask for a second 5k amp !!!

If you listen to jazz for example, you need a more "musical" sub. But for rap and r&b, you may have enough "quality"with any sub : no need to search for sq subs ! I was totally satisfied with my old sub, an SSA Xcon 15": it sounded so good, with much output. I could hear all the bass notes/lines from any jazz or reggae song ! It played all the details in the music. Not only boom boom bass ! I run a Fi btl N2 12" for now, still like new : it is more...brutal, but sounds good too. I need to play more with it to really compare both. But I already know it plays much better than my Kicker S15 L7 (I had it in several sealed and ported boxes).

Your LPF is set at 30 Hz ? Move it up to 80 Hz. Or is it your subSonic Filter : at 30 Hz it can be good if your box is tuned at 33.

With 2000 w rms, you can get a FI btl N2 (even fully loaded) or the DC XL. Are you sure you have enough room for a 15" sub in a proper box in your car ? If you think you will change for a bigger amp later, you can make another choice. just my 2 cts !

I would not call it a beast. A good SQ sub, for sure. For musical beasts, take a look at the Xcon, Zcon, btl N2...and many more. What do you, guys, think ?

You can forget the rear speakers if you're going for SQ ! You won't hear the rear speakers with the bass. Stereo is left-right, no rear needed. Get a set of these PG rsd something, and install them right, with sound deadener and don't forget to seal the "holes" in your doors. save for a small amp for them, and they will shine.

OP : you need a badass box ! Even a shitty system can be loud in a good box. Maybe it won't sound as good as yours, but it can really be loud. So be careful. Don't say yours is better. Get a box that will make your subs shine and install everything right. Big wires, big grounds, big3,...! Install is the most important part. What can be better for you, may not be for others ! In our neighbourhood we were never watching tv, because we were outside playing football(soccer) , tennis, riding bikes,... Although we had satellite tv to watch US tv channels, the first pc (oric1, olivetti M24, amstrad,zx80-81, ...) in our residence, we were out until our parents got home ! the good old days !
