  1. My car needs it. My lights start to flicker when I added 14 volt batts. What vehicle do you have and what do you have your alternator set to?
  2. That vehicle takes a Group 66 battery which it looks like you can fit a D6500 in the stock location. D6500 in the stock location and do the Big 3 Upgrade. You can search for Big 3 Upgrade and find a ton of posts to explain how to do it. Alternator will always help out if you upgrade.
  3. 2 amps would take forever to charge a D3100 that is discharged.
  4. Damn some people do actually read and remeber what I post up.........lol Thanks! Above info is correct!
  5. Post up a picture of the battery if you can and get a side shot of the serial number, so I can look up the production date. If the battery sit for a long time and wasn't charged then it probably has some sulfation build up. This could be why you are seeing 1215 CA, because when the sulfation builds up on the plates it pretty much stops that part of the plate from producing power. The only way to try to break up the sulfation is to cycle it a few times and then there is still no promise it will bring it back to 100%.
  6. Correct. Get a set of 580 or 586 for the posts. That battery should be fine for daily use on that system.
  7. Yes, 1 D3100 should be able to run the extra amp.
  8. Signs of venting is a sulfur smell and a liquid sometimes will be seen around the vents of the battery. If there is major venting it will usually come along with swelling of the batteries.
  9. Anyone interested in 16V batteries send me a PM titled "16V GB".
  10. May be able to run a D6500 under the hood, but you would want to measure and double check. For daily use two D3100 would work for 2 3500s.
  11. Not really needed on new batteries, but new batteries will provide better performance once they have been cycled a few times. Low 12V range to mid 11V range will be fine. If you have a load tester or have one available that will be the easiest way to apply the load. If not anything that will pull the voltage down would work. Hook it up in your vehcile and pull it down if you have no other options.
  12. This would be better directed to a delaer in a PM I think. Probably get better results.
  13. If you are running ring terminals you can just use the hardware provided and attach them to the top of the 551.
  14. As long as it is a XP2000 or larger you would be good on a single battery in an application like yours. Since you are talking about a bank of 3-4 you are fine.
  15. Cycle the battery a few times and it may be fine. Charge the battery fully and then put a draw on the battery to bring the voltage back down. Do this cycle about 5-6 times and then fully charge the battery. After it is fully charged the final time let it sit about 24 hours and it should be in the the 12.9-13.2V range.
  16. Can we get this answered? Posts are in different locations. They can be buss bared together, but the post positions are different.
  17. Sorry guys been crazy busy here. Building all of the XP3000 and XP2500 getting them ready to start shipping now. Still working on the HF chargers and XP1000s for this deal. Looks like it MAY be a March group buy and run for the month.
  18. 1 XP3000 is the minimum I would put in there with the extra amp. That is adding an extra 300 amps of pull on your system. Cont US only on this deal. Could always asking them what they can do going to Canada. No, the XP would have to go in the back. This. I have a Kinetik 1800 under the hood. What can happen mixing batts? I need a backup for the rear before I switch out to my new amps. Over time they can start pulling each other down. XP2000 is a Group 24 size battery which is just a little taller than a Group 34 D3400. NO. XP Series batteries are not designed to be used in under the hood applications. They are designed for secondary/supplemental power sources only. They will swell up if you put them under the hood, because they are not designed for the heat. Warranty will not be issued for any XP Series battery that is used in starting applications under the hood. some cars have a relocated battery in the trunk, will these work for starting if someone relocates it in the trunk? im not interested on them but if its possible maybe people will look into it If it is in the back and depending on how everything is hooked up it could be used, but it would have to be an XP2000 or larger. The XP2000 would be a better option.
  19. No problems at all. The HF1215 is good for any sealed AGM battery. No it is a flat 15% off. NO. XP Series batteries are not designed to be used in under the hood applications. They are designed for secondary/supplemental power sources only. They will swell up if you put them under the hood, because they are not designed for the heat. Warranty will not be issued for any XP Series battery that is used in starting applications under the hood. I have a bmw x5 and my battery is inside the car. this wouldnt be a problem to do a single xp3000 as a primary in my case would it? No it shouldn't depending on how much extra power you will be adding to the system. Cont US. You would need to speak with Audio Savings about what the shipping would be for overseas orders.
