Battery question
Nathan @ XSpower replied to lockdown801's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
Why would you not have all of your amps running from the same bank? If you are looking for a battery around the size of the 3400, then I would look at using the XP2000 for your bank. I would recommend at least 8. -
Ok... Now what

How? You leave the charger hooked up to the batteries for 12-24 hours after the light goes green. -

I would recommend charging the battery for a full 12-24 hours. The charger will not over charge the battery, and the slow absorption charge will top off the battery nicely. The HF chargers are set to go into absorption mode a little faster than what the 1005 or 1004 charger would. The lights will change over and show it is charged, but to really top them off the absorption for about 12-24 hours will do the trick. This is the case especially if you are charging with the battery still installed in the vehicle. Doesn't have to be a full 12-24 hours, but if you have the time it will work. -
Mechman Discount

This is a Mechman special, so calling them would be the best thing to do. -

Explain this Nathan ??

As has already been said the XP series has more reserve capacity and built for secondary power only. The XP series is less expensive to manufacture, so the XP series will be lower in cost. The D375 and D545 are both smaller than the XP750 and will have less power. Between the three options and what you need it for the XP750 is really a no brainer decision. -
MX Series Batteries?
Nathan @ XSpower replied to SnowDrifter's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
MX Series is a series of batteries exclusively for MESA dealers. You can't get them online or anywhere other than in a MESA dealer's shop. -
Average Life?
Nathan @ XSpower replied to Psycho631's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
whats the average life of a xs battery? All depends on the use, user, and maintenance. Guys like Pipo that beats the crap out of his batteries, but also maintains them well when they are not being used got 6 years out of his last bank of 16V batteries. Some guys that do not take care of their stuff will actually replace them every year or two years. All depends on the user. Normal life for the daily driver battery is probably around 5-6 years. -
Nope thats all there is to it. If you have your purchase receipt you can put a copy in there if not dont worry about it.

All accessories are covered by a 1 year warranty. Just need a copy of your original purchase receipt and make a simple call to the office. 888.497.7693 Anyone in the office can get you a return authorization. I have had a set of iBars installed for about 4 years now with no issues, but I have seen where people have stripped them out. Most of the cases are due to over-tightening and not using the provided washers. Not a big deal, but thanks for posting up on the forum about it before you gave us a chance to take care of it for you.

14v batts
Nathan @ XSpower replied to John C Leonard's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
You will need to be able to charge in the 16V range with the D1400. Depending on your vehicle this may or may not be possible. The easiest would be to stay with the 12V D3400. -
If you put a stop watch on two batteries that were discharged the same amount, then yes it would charge quicker on the 25amp mode. The charger regulates the amperage and the voltage. Checking with a clamp meter would be a much more accurate way of checking the amperage also instead of going by the gauge.
