    Just throwing it out there to see if anyone have some 3" coils or give me some pointer to where i can get some. It's for punch hx2 so the motor is very shallow, hence total height cannot exceed 3.25"... any pointer would be much appreciated. -jeff

    hope i can get there on time lol... i love home speakers too! Great design btw. I've always wanted to build some home speaker but have no program to determine cross over designs, etc. I did a few projects a decade ago using bass box pro from high school and love how clean they sounded. would love to hear those....

    My understanding is that you can calculate them separately (just like two different boxes). Could be wrong but i'll let others with more knowledge chime in.

    My experience is that it will protect before anything. But i cannot guarantee because electronic varies from application to the next. I had tried and went protect and just reconnect to higher ohm load.

    I would think its ok because the intellicharger will recognize that the batter reach 80% and will kick in the floating mode... I hook it up often lately between spl burps test and no problem... Once a week i may hook it up and notice that it kick in floating mode much faster... Maybe because my battery is still full...

    I wouldnt do it with that electrical. I would rather wire it to 4 ohm and save up for something better down the road.

    Some have success with wiring those amps below the recommended ohm load. I, on the other hand, don't have success with the kicker amps being at 1.4ohm or below. It will protect on me. So I will not recommend the 1ohm nominal.
