    the adapters (targets) that u put on the wheels dont usually go up to 26" the ones we got only go up to 20"

    so its a 1000 rms amp right ? is it like a name brand wire 4 gauge i am not the most knowledgeable person but ama try to help u with what i can my fuse holder melted like a year ago and replaced it and never happen again i think i hooked up the wire wrong to the fuse holder which cause resistance=melted fuse holder

    resistance! what kind of wire gauge are you using? and i dont think its blown i think if it was it wouldnt play someone correct me if am wrong, maybe u just got ur gain up too high.

    x2 on amping them as you add sub woofers in the future you will notice that bass will over ride your mids & highs and most of us amp our mids & highs sounds louder and better sq. IMO if ur gonna upgrade ur speakers sooner or later why not just amp them and see how they take it and later on just get a good set of components but you do get alot better sound quality and louder if u amp them because u have a more control of them cuz of the amps crossovers,

    yeah the engine will probably last u forever idk about the tranny just give its regular maintance and continue to baby the truck as far as the mpg i dont know its only gonna go down if u add bigger wheels and the extra weight of a sound system

    dude i think the smell is cuz ur breaking them in so as far as that goes i would just baby the subs for like 2 weeks or so just to have peace in mind alot of other people on here will disagree with me and say skip the break in period
