If you're looking to keep your sub in good condition, leave "Bass" on the headunit at 0 and turn down bass boost on the amp to 0. Also, set your gains with an oscilloscope (or at least a digital multimeter) If it's not loud enough for you when set properly, then you've caught the disease and will have to upgrade equipment. Don't worry, it happens to all of us lol aw man i guess i need to get a couple of 12w7s then lol this setup i love for listening to everyday on music but when i want to blast it it aint as loud as i want but i reckon i just need to go ahead and buy another sub and amp and be done with it lol how much did you spend on that 12w7?

(i wait around 3 weeks for mine). edit: whoever you choose, when you get the alt, check your manufacture plugs first to see if they match(connected to the alternator). when my alty came, had different kind of plugs and was out of a car for 2 days(they overnight shipped the plug for free)

THIS. and plus, it really doesnt do rated, and might not fit in your car(twistedchild420's fitzall didnt fit in his car). save up the cash, and get an alternator from DC or Mechman. we all understand that its pricey, but you got to understand that going cheap on electrical, is like feeding yourself bad unhealthy food that will make parts of your body fail. your system is depending on the alternator and the battery to function correctly.

so i was thinking about knowing what to get so i can be able to test everything in my set-up. test as in how many current does my amp take, and how many watts is give to the sub. what my final impedance after rise. any math equation involve? anything that include in a bench test, i really want to know so i can have an idea how much power i actually have than reading how many watts the amp is rated for.

this. because if you have a dual 2, you can get wither of those amps. but if you get a dual 4, you got to get an amp that is 2 ohm stable
