  3. A single LVL 5 would laugh at that amp, even a XL A pair of sundown SA series subs would be a good match, and there priced good. whats your budget?

1 D3400 1 D3100 300 amp iraggi alt and two runs of knu 1/0. The alt is the weak point I think. Need a singer 350

  10. all it is is for diffrent wiring options, if you need a final ohm load of 1 ohm, then you would need two D4 http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp
  11. yea if i do the active setup it will be 4 6.5" mids on the front two channels @ 2 ohm each and maybe 2 tweets to start off with for the front then eventually 4 (1 in each rear door and 1 in each A pillar in the stock location might start off with just the front doors and do the rears later. Maybe some Sundown neopro 6.5"
  12. Thanks Orion! What mids would yal suggest?
  13. so i could run say 4 pro audio 4 ohm mids on the front two channels @ 2 ohm each, then 4 4 ohm tweets, on the rear channels( 2 per channel @ 2 ohm) all on the SAX 100.4?
  14. i think i will stick to a basic 2 way active setup, using a SAX 100.4. i know it wont be that big of a diffrence but i already own a DD-1 so might as well add it to my collection and do it right. im not gunna worry about the timeallignment stuff. i just want a clean sounding setup thats able to keep up with my 18"s
  15. Ah makes sense, thanks! if i decide to do this i need to order a CC-1 asap
  16. What is time align? all of this is so new to me LOL
  17. What is the diffrence between 2 way active and three way active? also if i wanted to run 4 tweets, 1 per door. could i run two per channel? even though it would drop the ohm load?
  18. So im getting ready to start the Mids/highs upgrades in the tahoe. i kinda want everything to match, as in RF 4 Channel and RF Power series componets. but i feel like i can get a better sounding setup and/or louder for less. Ive been checking out the Sundown SAX 100.4AD, its priced well on woofersetc.com and has better crossover options. witch im guessing are needed for running active? i was brainstorming a setup, 4 6.5" mids (one in each door) on the front two chanels, and the tweets on the rear channels. would that be ruuning active? using the amps internals crossovers for the mids and tweets? im used to just running 2 way coax. or componet sets with the included crossovers, so this is all new to me. but if it will sound better im down to learn and run active Thanks for any help guys!

the mids look beastly, i'd have them on a RF T800.4AD @ 2 ohm so id be feeding them quite a bit of power. i could always swap the tweets if i dont like them. i can get two sets for under $600
