  1. (2)Dc Level4 M1 Motors/12" Baskets 3" coil 1000-1200w typical 120shipped each with baskets FedEx 105shipped each motors USPS Paypal Only No Trades Cone-Spider joint failed, someone crafty could fix them quick. One still "works" because former-spider joint is still intact, the other has an open coil likely tinsels ripped at joint.
  2. tons of people cross super tweets between 4-5k.... its an 18db slope which is better than the typical 12db slope most use tons of people use them solely with PA mids, sounds like you've never actually heard a supertweet before bobo
  3. You can easily hear distortion/scratchy/hissin/poppin mids/highs because our ears are more sensitive in the range of frequencies, so let your ears try to pick that out. For bass below 80hz is very hard for our ears to pick it up, this is where an oscope helps because you can watch the waveform in real time as the amp would see it and you can identify horizontal flat spots indicating the music was pushed beyond 0dB, which is not desired. Play any rap song using WMP oscope, go to graphic EQ and boost 31/62hz +9dB so you purposely clip the bass to see what it looks like and how it sounds. It will be easier to see/hear it in the future when you do this.
  4. buying music means nothing. just play songs through WMP Oscope, no need for audacity. Then just watch out for large flat sections from clipped bass. If each time the bass hits the vocals sound like garbage you can expect detrimental clipping when viewed in audacity. Pretty much all music will have some small portion touch or go past 0dB, could just be a tick or snare, or could be the entire bass line like "Swing My Door" by Gucci
  5. lets go out on a whim here and say you use 1.25" dowel, 50" of it... you will not use that much in reality thats .035cuft of displacement, lol
  6. keep the subs as close as possible, hopefully they are all on the same amp too. ditch the .25" pieces, thats pointless... just do 2.25*29.5 port... whatever length you need where are you getting .15cuft bracing....???? i doubt you will even have .1cuft for a box that small i would do 5cuft, ~75sqin you will need to brace the port from bottom up to port wall, thats a large panel that will flex
  7. have fun watching that rear sub launch common port wall is 1 not nothing, you also didnt check subs upward
  8. after setting gains with EQ flat with DD-1 you should only be attenuating (turning down) what is too loud, not turning anything up... that will introduce distortion/clipping
  9. you sure red lead is on AMP + input where it should be and not measuring the remote wire + input remote wire voltage remains rather constant
  10. not bad at all.... the more times you do this the better you will get.
  11. LPF on sundown 100.4 highest setting is 5000hz, either turn LPF all the way up and leave it becuase its already at 5000hz or choose a tone below 5000hz so it will show on the cc-1.
  12. Its the other way around kranny. For burping the tone would be the loudest, needing the least amount of sub level. Basically what tone you use for music would be where sub level would be at max, and becuase 0dB tones are louder, you would turn down sub level to for undistorted/clean burp power.
  13. The USACI tones are 0dBI understand your logic because the wording is vague, but I'm suggesting the safer/proper solution You would play the -10dB/-5dB track with sub level at max clean setting, then play 0dB and turn the sub level down until its clean also. When burping use the lower sub level, and maybe 1 click higher to see if a little clipping helps.
  14. You are not getting what I'm saying fully. If you are metering and using 0dB tones you should never set gains with -15dB, you will be clipping HEAVILY. The point of using -15dB is to have gain overlap while listening to MUSIC, no burping tones. Soft clipping can help competitors but heavy clipping usually results in a lower score even if you might have more power. You have to MEASURE the specific amp to find out how much of the power is the sine wave, and how much power is harmonic distortion... you cannot find that number without the proper instruments to measure all frequencies and their strengths. If it helps, elow 40hz it takes 20-40% distortion for us to pick it up... above 1000hz and our ears are much more sensitive to distortion. I
  15. Every amp is different and is rated at different THDs because of components used and so on. There is not a definitive answer as to how much %THD is produced by each tone without measuring. %THD is the ratio of the sum of the powers of all harmonic components to the power of the fundamental frequency. Simply choose a tone closest to the loudness of the music you play most. All rap is -15dB in loudness or louder, so -10dB would be a wiser choice to use. Personally I use -5dB for even more safety and because I play very loud music.
  16. Gucci Mane - Rich Black Man (decaf version)
  17. A headunits internal amplifier will almost always clip/distort before the RCAs do, this is usually what happens and what causes the terrible sounds What you can do is disconnect all interiors and put the dd-1 red probe on one of the positive speaker wires, ground the black probe and play the 40hz -5dB track/1000hz -5dB track and see how high you can turn the headunit.
  18. the excelons dont clip til 35 usually, the non "X" models clip sooner. what i meant is set the volume where mids/highs clip on headunit, then adjust sub level so that the sub rcas clip at same volume as mids/highs rcas
  19. check 1000hz... if it doesn't clip at 27 on 1000hz then keep turning sub level down until both sub rcas and mids/highs rcas clip on same volume
  20. i think the mids/highs sound terrible, havent been able to find a version without the shrillness
