  1. If it HAS to be that specific kit, I'd call Edelbrock and ask them. Also, check craigslist. You never know who is cleaning out their garage/getting rid of projects they never finished lol. If you're just looking for a TPI to EFI kit, Edelbrock has new ones, Holley, Accel, and F.A.S.T. are a few good companies to look into. Edit-Sorry man, looks like they have been discontinued for a while. Still, call them and see what they have available. http://forums.edelbrock.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2774
  2. Damn that puts Prius' emissons to shame lol. Unless I'm reading that wrong (we don't have emissions laws in KS) that is the least polluting V8 ever...or a faulty sniffer. But at least ya passed
  3. Honestly, I have no experience with that harness. I don't know if the colors match up correctly or whatever. A quick google of the gm2000 didn't help much, some people have this problem, and the only suggestion I saw was to get a new harness. Nobody ever said if it worked or not lol. Maybe somebody more familiar with the setup can help. But you said you've had other aftermarket decks in the car before, right? So it should still work...idk.
  4. Both power wires hooked up right? Sounds like constant power to both. Does the car keep the radio on til the door opens or anything like that with the stock radio?
  5. Never heard that, but it makes sense. Good to know that a 50lb bag of food for her earns me a 1lb chunk of rabbit. LMAO
  6. The "Check for Clipping" is only in the newest beta release. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ Get the 1.3 beta. I had the same problem. Spent 2 hours looking through settings and whatnot in 1.2 before I realized 1.3b was out...lol
  7. lol my dog used to sleep in bed with me & my ex, she was the sweetest, calmest dog I ever had...but as soon as she saw something that didn't belong in the back yard, she was a damn killing machine haha. She wouldn't bury it either. She brought everything back up on the porch to show off...
  8. Wow. I read that COMPLETELY wrong lmao. I was gonna say that's probably illegal in most states That's awesome though. I wish I still had my last dog. She could be in the yard for 5 minutes and always bring something back in the house dead. Cats, birds, snakes, whatever she could get ahold of lol But I've never seen a cat actually catch anything.
  9. Between those two, I'd go Mazda. But I'd keep looking for a while. Neither of those are worth $1000 IMO. Edit-Anything is possible with enough money. You could get a Moped to run 10's lmao...
  10. Umm... $175x60 months=$10,500. That can't be an $11,000 loan. Then add in interest...I don't see it. lol When I bought mine, car was 11k, about 2k for a 4 yr warranty Came to $13,1xx. I also had no down payment, no co-signer, and 7 or 7.5% interest (too lazy to look). So my $324/mo. x 48 mos. = over 15k Same goes for a 33k loan at $370/mo. Unless it's a VERY long loan (8-9 yrs?) I don't see it. Unless you guys are getting magical negative interest loans haha
  11. Sure. Tape it off so there wont be any issues, but it doesn't need to be hooked up. May even cause a ground loop if you try hooking up the deck to factory ground.
  12. Just ground it to something metal behind the dash. A lot of decks are like that...
  13. You might be able to find a Subaru sti wagon for around 10k. Turbo, fits 5 somewhat comfortably, room for a system, and lots of go fast parts lol. But I don't think 200 will cover a 10k loan. My stang was 13k and payments are $324/mo. Edit-I have a 4 year loan, you may be able to get a 5 year loan, but payments don't drop a whole lot. Maybe $40-50...
  14. So does this mean I can get 3 sa8s with boots now? Or is this just like a proto run? Really liking the boots.
  15. Autozone and oriellys have it here. Also, some sherwin williams stores have it. If you have a marina nearby, they will have everything too.
  16. Check your PM's. Edit- song was never actually released. It was a demo they made right before they split.
  17. Goo gone will work. WD40 works too. At work I use an eraser wheel then buff the areas afterward. Also, I use a razorblade if I don't have anything else around, but I can't recommend it unless you are VERY comfortable with a blade. Basically, if this is most likely the only time you'll need to do this, just use goo gone, but be careful not to fade the paint. Two rags, one with GG/WD40 on it, one dry. Wipe with the wet one, wipe off with dry. Dont let the chemicals dry on the car or it will probably fade the paint a little.
  18. Ups dropped an amp I Just got off here, smashing the bass knob into the master slave terminal, cracking the board inside the knob and shoving the ms inside the amp. Real impressed by shipping companies lately.
  19. yep. fuse at both ends, the closer to the end the better, imo.
  20. I usually stick with tinned copper around here. It rains a lot and is humid most of the time. Had a few OFC runs oxidize and corroc a few years back, so I quit using it or my under car runs, and I'm an asshole that has to match everything lol so I don't run OFC inside either, unless its the same brand and color. edit-whatever wire you run, is ok to use for the big 3. just remember to fuse for the WIRE, not the alt. 250A fuse for CCA, not 140A for the alt. I suppose anything between 150-250 would work though. Same for the Run to your amp, I'd use the biggest fuse thats safe on the wire, in case you decide to add lights or anything that draws a little more current to the back. But again, as long as the fuse is larger than the amount of current you actually need, you'll be fine.
  21. 2x30 and 5x30 puts you at 210. CCA would work fine for you.
  22. Look at the fuses on the amp(s). If they add up to over 250A, go with OFC, less than 250A...I'd still go OFC, but CCA will be fine. If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing. as long as you can afford the extra. That way, if you decide to add a 4ch for your speakers, you'll still be covered without having to buy more wire and do another run. But if you never plan to add another amp, you really won't need to do OFC.
