    Doesnt each of those subs only have one coil? I would wire the coils in parallel. That way, the impedance will be 1.5 ohms.

    got other name for it? I dont "name," but something more like a phrase... i would personally call it a "clean sounding setup." SQ has to do with time alignment, speaker placement, removing peaks (equalizing), specific crossovers, etc

    Ive personally seen & heard 2 Sundown 3.5ks strapped at 1 ohm (.5 ohm/ amp). I was also in the car when one of those amps "blew" (on music). After experiencing, I dont plan on ever running an amp at .5ohm in a daily application. Iirc the voltage dropped to 12.8v... but still..
