  1. Post a pic of the car, what power are you gonna give to the subs? i know a couple of things about 3515´s , i´m burping a 146.1 @ 44 hz in a trunk car with a 1600 watts amplifier wired at 1 ohm, also, 150.8 @ 42 hz with 5K in a SUV wich isn´t the best scores ever but they aren´t that bad, 3515´s are very nice subs and can get stupid loud
  2. Only time i tried that i lost 0.4 dbs, i guess depends on the car maybe like everything else?i dunno, but i can´t find a reason on why you wouldn´t lost debeeeezzz since the air is coming into the doors and out, remeber that you need everything as smooth as possible, having the doors without panels should mess with airflow for sure!!
  3. It´s a box calculator made by a member called Torres, you can download it free on the subs enclosures room, it´s stickied on the top of it
  4. I try to fit the tubes as tight as i can, so the holes must be perfect, that way,you don´t even need screws or anything, works great for me
  5. Yep i´ve done it before, it´s on spanish but you get the idea, only reason i´m waiting for aeros it´s because i´m doing SPL comps right now and i need any tenth i can squeeze out of that box, but i´ve had great results using PVC before
  6. Jesus christ that thing is so violent, i´ve seen this car before, way to go Miles, man that port looks stupid small, i dunno how the hell you can get that stupid loud lol, but i´ve never worked with Sundown subs before, great vids man, just subscribed Just realized that this might not be your car lol, still, great vids!!
  7. For a pair of HDC3´s i would use even 3 6" aeros, i´m working on a 5.8 c/f box and 3 6" PVC tubes right now that it´s doing over 147 dbs @ 42 hz using a single 1200 watts amplifier wired at 0.5 ohms, it´s a pair of DD 2512´s wich are very similar to DC2.5´s , once again, i would use that exact same box for the HDC3´s wich are almost the same DD 3512. Since you only have a 24" depth and i don´t know if you can go bigger than that and i´m assuming you are using the SUV on your avatar, i would use subs up/port side so you can fit those long ports, 24" long each tube should give you around 5.7 c/f and a 35 hz tuning, but once again, THIS IS AN EFFICIENT BOX!!!! If you are using tons of power then i would suggest you going with a smaller box, you can even use 2 6" ports if you want, a little bit small for that pair of subs but still would work awesome P.S: This is the box i´m working with, 100% daily box scoring that huge number, waiting for my aeros to arrive tomorrow to raise that score a little bit
  8. Only Lanzar amp that does rated power it´s the optidrive series, however, i´ve used the lanzar vibe series ebfore, and for the price it was kind of loud, i dunno about the max series tho...
  9. Im subscribed to his channel, you just have to look on the comments, i´ve seen a few of him saying his specs and stuff...
  10. I like kicker I would use the CVX, plays very nice with small power, and i actually like it on music, sounds kind of nice
  11. thank you sir, you're too kind. My pleasure mate, it´s the truth!! We are gonna do a business just like the last one, i´m VERY happy with the outcome very glad to hear that design did well for you. I really enjoy trying to get loud with minimal equipment. Yeah man, tha´s what i told you when i contacted you, i´ve done LOUD systems in the past, but i haven´t been the best when it comes to get loud with minimal equipment, as soon as i saw your hairtrick video with 2 12´s and then the 150$ system doing a 144 iirc, i knew i needed to get some help from you, there´s another couple of things i need to learn about this and you are the man that´s gonna help me, so yes, we´ll do some more business in the future if you are willing to Off topic mode: OFF! hehe
  12. the 150 dbs for a hairtrick it´s a myth, my swift does some big hairtricks and it´s only doing a 147 @ 33 hz right now, i also did some nice hairtricks with 3 10´s and 2000 watts wich barely hit a 145 @ 35 hz. Now, 2 12´s and a sealed box is not gonna do a hairtrick, iirc you said you have an extended cab, i would do subs forward/port up, box as big as you can go with those subs (i dunno anything about them tho) and tuned very low, should at least move some air
  13. thank you sir, you're too kind. My pleasure mate, it´s the truth!! We are gonna do a business just like the last one, i´m VERY happy with the outcome
  14. So you started a topic, never answered to the people trying to help you, and now you get back here and post the amp you are using 3 months later? lol
  15. Worst topic ever lol
  16. This thing should be loud as hell, one of the best builders at florida right here
  17. What amp are you gonna use? what´s your goal on the meter?
  18. Thanks a lot boss, i dunno the amount of distortion we had at the moment of this test since i don´t own an O-scope , but it was fun to see this kind of results, not bad considering it´s a 120$ amplifier if i´m not mistaken
  19. Hey guys, just wanted to post this vid on a test i did today, this little amplifier surprised me a lot, it definitly does rated power if you can keed the voltage high, i don´t know how much distortion it had tho, but still got some nice results, enjoy!! Specs: Class D Power Amplifier 1 Ω Load Stable Overload & Overheat Protection Variable Low Pass Electronic Crossover Variable Sub-Woofer Volume Control Built-in Variable Shift AP-10001D • Power Amplifier: 1000 Watts • Channel: 1 Channel Class D • Frequency Response: 8Hz - 200Hz • Signals to Noise Ratio: 70db • Bass Boost: 30-80Hz • Input Sensitivity: 0.2-5V • Subsonic Filter: 5-50Hz • Low Pass Filter: 40-180Hz • Output Power (RMS): 1 Channel @ 4Ω - 300W 1 Channel @ 4Ω - 700W 1 Channel @ 4Ω - 1000W • Dimension: 278x176x55mm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=de7DoQwOld0
  20. My favorite explorer build ever, hopefully i will get a demo in a couple of months when i travel to florida!!! twingo16v @ youtube
  21. I would do something like 1.75 cubic feet and a single 4" aeroport
  22. Some people says it actually acts like a placebo lol, if i can find some for free, i will test it with the Termlab and post it on the SPL gains topic
