  1. what ohm load? i've read that these alpines get hot, i wouldn't know exactly though. maybe bad grounds or too small of wire either going to the amp or to the subs.
  2. Shouldn't the fuse be there to protect the battery and alternator in a worst case scenario? So if he has a 70 amp alt and a 100 amp fuse isn't that more than enough?and if he uses a 250 or 300 amp Fuse isn't that just like not having a fuse at all since the battery and or alt will go out way before the fuse should something go wrong.
  3. Awesome, awesome seller. Bought a pair of speakers, arrived very well packed and quickly as well. and I would definitly do business again.
  4. Tv and car well worth around the same price. Our 52" LCD 1080p 60hz S series Bravia tv was about 2k money for the car would be a lot better though
  5. Link to said port calculator http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/38791-torres-box-tuning-calculator-updated-310/ pics of said GREAT looking box??? If your amp can handle a 1 ohm load and your cars electrical is strong enough them you shouldn't have any problem wiring them to 1 ohm
  6. I don't know how else to help you. You could get me a picture of everything from the amp to the subs and I could edit in to the pic what to do where.
  7. I just noticed those posts got the op nowhere Edit: and now these two haha
  8. :/ ok I'll try and put in words, give a couple of seconds Edit: your amp should have 4 speakers connections right in this order probably: +,-,+,- from the first + on the amp you're going to run a wire to one + on one sub and then from there to another + on the other sub. Then from the 2nd - on the amp you're gonna run a wire to the - opposite of the + on the first sub and then from there to the similar - on the other sub. Then you're gonna connect the remaing +&- on the first sub together and the +&- on the second sub together and then that's it, you should be set
  9. So they were hittin much better with the boss 1100 wired the same? Try wiring at 4 ohm series/parallel like the second option here http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp~Q~2~I~42 bridged (+from one channel and -from the other)
  10. Is 2 15 amp fuses what it came with? That's too small for 1600 rms Edit: nvm just read it than the amp is not fit to run your subs. If they sounded ok how you had them probably at 1 ohm, 4 ohms won't move them or power them anywere near what they should be getting especially not with an amp that only has 2 15 amp fuses.
  11. What do the settings in your amp and head unit look like? You could be over driving the amp.
  12. Too lazy to check links to see if tis has been posted, but an AQ1200 is only $250
  13. man am i sleepy, i thought that said drunker as in drinker, but best drunker alive doesn't make sense

  16. i know now but i'm asking again now that i know better. that was about two years ago and i thought, wow 100 watts must be bright HERE for example for my vehicle scroll down to 9006 and it says 9006 12V 55W = 125W (4,600 KELVIN) HEADLIGHT BULBS in DIAMOND WHITE ^^^what does that mean
  17. all of you that have those xenon lights, do they ever get very hot and/or smell bad from the hotness of the bulbs. I bought some of amazon once but had to take them out, i could sometimes smell the burning in the car and they were 100watt bulbs. I went to some of the links that you guys posted and read 100 watts and 130 on another, isn't that bad?
  18. Now I got a question kranny, will send pm in a bit to not thread jack too much
  19. You need to set it with a 50 hz tone at 3/4 volume on the headunit, and hold on i'll get you the voltage you should set it at Edit: should be at 44.72 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/14666-calculating-gain-voltage/page__hl__setting+gain
