  1. I just dont wanna void the warrenty on my alt, and would like a mechman product for it :/ I want to set my voltage at 14.5
  2. will this work with MAZDA!!?!?!?!?!?!??!?! cause I want this so damn bad ha ha, hope it doesnt cost to much, like $100ish would be good
  3. I'm running 2 of these on a kicker 2500.1, they are doing great, going to clamp it soon. Sundown rated it@600rms for warranty sake. They will take 1400rms of clean unclipped power each if you watch them. Mine don't get warm really at all. They took a wall socket for about 20-30 seconds @2 ohms before blowing, doing around 1700rms @ 60hz, pretty damn good for a 600rms sub. They are very much underrated. As with anything you gotta pay attention to what your equipment is doing and you'll be fine. I'd go with a different amp though
  4. I am having horrible voltage drop right now, it is 1 degree out, but it drops to the high 11's no problem, but I think as soon as it warms up to 32+ degrees its all fine again, I hate this cold weather
  5. wish I could put a larger then a 220 in my mazda, 320 is plenty for that, I run 4500rms on a 220 amp, d3100 in the rear, and a d3400 in the front, with going in the low 12's on full tilt, somtimes high 11's, all depends on that bass note its on though, some of those low notes just suck the power, otherwise it stays up in the 13/14's
  6. more stable voltage, I wouldnt go above 14.4 to be safe, but anything under 15v is pretty safe
  7. yea same here, I would find a way to pay if it was like $100 I could probably swing that, I want a set 14.5 voltage so its always up there, im really sick of my delayed regulator, making my lights dim, but holding voltage, making me look like a noob when my lights are dimming on quick beats, people probably think i'm running all stock electrical, ha ha
  8. yea, click the UBL link in my sig, second page it slams, I love it
  9. Can that external regulator be used on a mazda3 06 alt?
  10. yea true, I actually ordered 2 sundown sa-12's, I have a thread in the sundown section with a box for it, that im building in a couple hours ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  11. awesome thanks, the box is almost done, just have to cut the woofer holes, it weighs 107 lbs, its freaking rediculous
  12. Anyones help is appreciated, the box is all cut, im putting it together tomorrow, very excited doing something awesome with the baffle some very neat lighting
  13. Wow man you got me so excited I haven't had nice subs for 8 months now, and they were in a horribly designed sealed box, so holy shit i"m happy, how would you break them in? keep the power lower for a bit?
  14. Awesome Thanks for the input, I hope it sounds good too, I am excited, I have waited so long to finish my build
  15. yea true, I actually ordered 2 sundown sa-12's, I have a thread in the sundown section with a box for it, that im building in a couple hours
  16. I am about to build this box in 2 hours with a friend, so any quick input would be nice, I did a lot of calculation, tried to keep port bends as low as possible, only 1 bend, port area I think is good, especially since im putting these 2 subs on 2.5x power daily, a kicker zx2500.1 for 2 Sundown SA-12's Let me know if you would change anything quick, from what I can see its setup well, but when you been working on something for the last 6 hours you sometimes miss stuff in torres calc it wasn't calculating the port area correctly, so I found the box internal volume after all displacements and then acted like the port was external to the box, winISD and torres gave me the same tuning when calculating it that way, I am going for 34hz with 3.22 cubes inside, I would have went bigger with the box but with the extra power I need a bit smaller airspace for sub control, I measured the Port Length right down the middle which is what your supposed to do I believe Just let me know if I messed up on anything, even if you look at it quick, at least say yea or no or something, THANKS A BUNCH GUYS!!!
  17. Its just so insane they rate it at 600 rms, they like way way way underrate them I guess, what do you guys think of a single Z v.3 18" sub over 2 sa-12 subs? Im not sure what the z v.3 costs, I got a pretty good price on 2 sa-12 setup with a dealer, but 1 18 is more cone area by a little bit and would hit lower
  18. in a mazda3 hatch would you do these with port back subs back? or having port up subs up? I have it triple deadened right above where the box is, my 15's carried the sound up nicely, but from what I have seen subs back port back gives the best bass since the bass sound waves are very large
  19. ha ha, sweet, I am definatly going to consider getting these subs, is there a wattage range where they stop gaining DB's even though you throw more power at them? In a daily build, I wouldn't be scared to put a nice 4k amp on a pair, but that would be my limit. I would guess on SPL side of things, burp only probably about 5k each and they would say fuck it I'm out!!! I just think its insane they rated them at 600rms, and people are throwing 1000rms-2000rms per sub and they take it, they should have put 1000rms on the site, but oh well, if they can take my zx2500.1 then I am definatly highly considering these, price wise for subs they seem like a no brainer, I saw them going for $195 online, I gotta just sell my 2 CXX 15's and they should be paid for I was thinking dc, but they are pushing around double for cost, and I think I would be more then happy with these sundowns plus I saw recones are only $40, so it would be a cheap mistake if melted the coils
