finished the 5th night shft this morning...feeling somehow, relaxed...slept for over 8 hours...and enyoing the 2 day off..

I work 6pm to 6am 4 on 4 off. Best shift ever. I never have to deal with management.

a nearby car audio shop got their demo car and claimed that they did 155+ on 4 10s....got to listen the car, and it sounded somehow burpy...box was tuned to 58hz...with a cactus 5K..also...when they pick a song that plays lows you can hear the sub hitting the bottom...ouch

build a new boxx...found out that gets LOOW somehow to about 25hz...sounds awesome...and up to 36...other than that....love it

ok so the SPL sub does not like higher notes in the current box but it somehow goes verry deep in lower ones..love it...also some vids coming up

my stock battery is like 45Ah 400CCA..thing is...when i am at idle it charges from 14.2-14.5, while when im driving it goes to 14,6 sometimes to 14,8..looks weird to me..also the original wire is like 8 AWG..which looks kind of weird...also my alt is stock 170A Denso one

ok...amp installed in the right place..the 15 incher is in and playing at 2ohm..sounds nice so far...god i missed the bass

ok my car charges at 14.4-14.7 all the time..now i am thinking of putting a AGM in it...a bigger one because stoch has only 35AH (220cca)

there is also a GZPW 15XQ option but im leaning towards the 15X...the XQ has 4inch voicecoil tho

yeah but you need some power to push them properly...
also like the 15X and xq because they have alluminium cone, and voicecoil..so also when playing lows...they sound a little deeper than the paper one..

installed a mini amp for my frons speakers...sounds so much better...but at 61/62 it starts to clip it seems...also the amp was tuned with dd-1 at a friends house

Clipping is a distorted signal.
Just because you have a clean signal, it doesn't mean that your speakers have the mechanical capability of handling all the power you send to it.
If your getting crappy sound and know the signal path is clean, than you are over driving the speakers.
Get a smaller amp or turn the gain down.

ive tried out the 8400BT and the 178BT....the 178 sounds louder in every aspect, but the 8400BT sounds clearer and not as loud...also it does not clip at full volume at all...what now?
