What are you wired to? 2ohms? That's why ...drop that bish to .5 and watch power ,spl, and voltage drop increase.... dd amps make most power at or under 1ohm

like i said in back of there belt books are the sizes then you just get the numbers..i have 5 diferrent sizes an multiple pulleys all to try and get rid of belt slip on my 3 alt setup..gates has website also

what car? go to napa look in there gates belt book and find length...they do not go in order or size increments..meaning it would be nice if they went in 1/2 in increments but they dont some jump a inch etc..you could always put a smaller idler pulley also,,to gain the inch or so

Rusty told me about this amp couple months back... it should protect at 16.3 so anything below 16v is golden..I'm thinking of swapping my 7.5s for a pair..as far as running below 1ohm it can be done but as stated if you don't know what your doing don't do it...I run at .35 daily but I'm a lucky one and have a decent electrical setup..could be better though...

There is no way barely any gain should make sub hot.... you should be able to turn it to at least 1o'clock...( ya I know its not recomended but I tune by ear smell an touch..:-) what is your crossover set at? Put it at 9 o'clock or a lil less that's around 55hz an subsonic at 20 or so.....I've blown subs from having my xover to high..

So you have d1s parrallel ? Pos to pos neg to neg? If your not dropping your probably not making any power..why cause your box is huge an your rise is also.even if your wired at .5....I can drop my 7.5s to batterys resting voltage and below after 30secs of fulltilt music..and that with 3alts and 6 xs14v battsbut I only rise to 1ohm and make a shit ton of power ..low voltage will cause clipping but since you stated that with barely any gain it still stinks it tell me there's a sub amp or ..signal issue try a diferent sub an box

I remember rob would have issues moving his baffle just a inch forward..so I think its enclosure...5s are picky but once you get the box right are loud as fawk..go on the small side of enclosure and turn subsonic up like rob said..and I wouldn't play below your tuning

How's it sound are you sure your sub is wired right... also 3/4 is a lot ..if your going to do it off ear id start at 11 o'clock..plus 2ohms plus rise is probably just a few hundred watts ..so its underpowered..my mayhems get hot but I'm pushing 4k each to them and that's after 30secs fulltilt

Stock 8in? What vehicle? Sleniuns are deep and heavy... you mite look into sundown neos or crescendos

There's a lot of tricks to get louder... I assume you were at corcoran show... were did you put mike? Driver seat passenger door open works best for me.. upgrade the 925 to a bigger batt.... 3100 would be best..what's your voltage drop to now?...ill help you out at shows...I've seen addictive get loud so stick with that for now... I'm curious on what your box looks like and who built it...

What songs sound loudest as of now? There's a list on here telling you were they peak at that mite help..
