  1. Damn, that's a mean 4-channel! I don't know who I should talk to, but does anybody have the price list for all the DC amps that they could PM me? I'm thinking maybe it's time to swap out all the RF amps and get a little more power going to my XL's and my mids and highs...
  2. Thanks man, I really want to see how you did this lol the box looks great!
  3. Looks great! How are you going to go about mounting it under the glovebox? Just curious, I've seen people do this before and it sounds great, I was wondering how hard it is to do...
  4. Those caps looks great, and those are some SEXY subs!
  5. Dude, I feel your pain, the last two boxes I had built were $500 or more. You're definitely making the right decision doing it yourself.
  6. Blow-through lol jp, I'm sure you'll figure something out
  7. Can't wait to see who wins! I'll definitely be adding some more DC wear to my closet once these go on sale!
  8. It's pretty hard to tell in the picture, but that jacket looks pretty thick, I really doubt that is true 0 gauge. Just saying man, but if you're dropping that kind of money on a woofer and an amp, spend the little bit extra and get good power and ground wire, there is no sense going cheap on something like that, it can damage your system. You can get 20 ft of true 1/0 from KnuKonceptz, their Kolosus Fleks wire, and it's only $68 for actual 1/0 that is going to be way more flexible and easier to run.
  9. Yeah that's where they test. They do underrate, but I don't really buy the birth sheet stuff, all the birth sheets for mine are between 1700-1800 RMS, but that's under ideal conditions that you'll never achieve in a car. I just really dig the new CP's for anybody who does any type of competing since it can help offset impedance rise. RF definitely makes some BA amps, they're about as solid as can be (although they can be a little pricey if you don't have anybody to hook you up lol). Although you can't go wrong with a Sundown 1500, or really even the AQ 1200 if you're on any type of budget at all. But I'd definitely check out for sale sections on sites to see if you can pick up an RF T1500-1bd, CP or not, I know I'm selling one of my extras, and they can be found used in great condition for a really good price on a lot of these forums.
  10. Sexy Stang! Love seeing people try to get loud in them!
  11. Well, if you get the new T1500-1bdCP, it produces the same power at 1 ohm that it does at 2. This means that if you wire your sub down to 1 ohm on that amp, even with some impedance rise, your sub will still see all 1500 watts. But don't discredit Sundown, they make great products, I'm just a little biased towards RF lol and the 1500 watts RF amps are great, I have 3 T1500-1bd's in my 'stang.
  12. Welcome to the good guys side, you'll love that sub! And don't worry, you're type R won't even come close to the DC Post some pics once you get it!
  13. I'd still go XL, their good subs, they don't smell or anything like they're taking too much power or burning, I'd just do your best to keep an eye on them, try to head off any problems before they become that bad. I was just used to my T1s that took a beating and never quit, cept they wouldn't take near the power the XL's do lol. They're solid subs, just keep an eye on them... And I guess leave your window up if you're gonna really be bumping them, I dunno, I didn't think that mattered, but whatevs, still a great sub.
  14. Looks good man! Hopefully I get to hear those little guys sometime...
  15. Lol, I don't either, I have a HPF at 30 Hz. Mine tore through on what I THINK was the new disturbed album (or might have been old Metallica) if I remember correctly. I was just relaying what they told me, that it was from high volume with the windows down. I didn't know if anybody else had had this same problem with their XL's...
