    for good bang for your buck i don't recommend Rockford Fosgate, they are a great company and build great stuff, better amps than subs IMO but your also paying alot for the name,

    if you add more port area the port has to be longer to lower it back down, if you had (this is for argument sake i dont know the number) if you have a 1"x2" port tuned to 30hz but you have port area and need more port so you add another 1"x2" port, your tuning will not be the same you will need to make both 1" ports 4" longer. im taking guess on that theory so please correct me if im wrong

    hard to see but thats how you would wire it the 2 crossovers to there speakers then splice both pos and both neg into on and you will see 2 ohm load

    run the 2 component speakers normal to their separate crossovers then take the 2 crossovers pos pos neg neg to amp and each speaker will still have their correct ohm loads and the amp will see a 2 ohm load, i have 4 comp sets on a 2 Chan this way no problems sounds great, you can wire speakers in series or parallel only AFTER the crossover not before

    move, i was looking at college like that, i have gone through computer networking, paramedic, automotive engineer, back to networking and i didnt know what i was doing, i moved and now i am on a straight path to an MBA ... a fresh change in scenery can do wonders!
