I dont want this to become a vs. thread. i hope its not considered one either. i dont care whats the best, what make or model it is. i have a very very very small budget. so i just want something that is going to work daily and reliably given its RMS of clean power (i has DD1), tuned to about 35 hz in a box built to specs. it just has to provide a little bump with the stock speakers. not the usual chest thumping bass us bassheads need. if all of the listed ones fit my requirements please say so, if not then please suggest something else. No, they help when the car is running also. batteries help fill in when an alternator can't keep up. Of course, you have to keep these batteries charged or your alternator will die a faster death than normal. Right, so the information IS misleading because it can also help when the car is ON as long as you keep them charged up. right

i guess you can just add the batteries and not hook it up to the alt and maybe that way it wouldnt matter if the car was on or off, since it would just run off the batteries lol

From what I understand if it's hooked up the alternator then it will get charged as the car is running. But if your alternator is "too weak" then adding a second battery will definitely make your alt die faster. I'm also a noob so if I'm wrong then please fix

Probably won't get that loan without a co-signer. I know your not a student but maybe you can fudge it with the bank your at and get a student CC? I got mine approved and it was like 600 when I was 18. Now it's at 1200 and I have another one from another bank for 5000 and that bill me later stuff is like 1200 for me. And a best buy cc for 1000. I know the amps are! but they do have single chanel mono block amps.. I responded to cgomez90 as soon as he posted. if he had responded timely I'm sure I would have clarified the misunderstanding!! But thx for having my bac all the same.. respect.. all monoblocks are single channel. i dont understand what you dont fucking get about that. a monoblock could have 12 sets of speaker outputs on it and its still a single channel. I could understand being called an idiot a noobe not knowing shit about anything... and trust me the only reason I'm on this site is to learn more about this passion we all share for good systems.. lol your wrong, a monoblock has 1 channel. there is 2 speaker outputs on them, so what its one channel regardless a 2 channel amp has 2 channels. there is a speaker output per channel you have to make sure that your amp that does 500 watts at 4 ohm is even stable to go down to 1 ohm
