Very nice test, and this should in fact show up on the 'Distortion Detector' although said wave isnt clipping. My question is how is the end user supposed to know if they are in fact clipping or just sending a 'dirty' signal persay, and what can cause this distortion? A shady downloaded tone for testing, or the source itself? Edit: I just reread that part. So the things causing it or normally not the tone and instead the HU, amp, maybe mp3 player, etc. Could low quality RCAs play a roll in sending a non clean signal by chance? Let me know if all my assumptions are totally off.

theres some things as an installer you just have to say no too....but i understand, some don't care what their name is on. We agree here. Buy the amp, have it hooked up and ready with the fuse unplugged. Then build your box and let it dry. That way your ready to drop the lvl 4 right in.

Honestly I'm surprised a bunch of lvl 5s aren't an option with the extreme price difference from the 6s. That being said, if he decided on option 3, I'd do that and if he wants louder, I say a walkthrough with double the subs and double the power in a fourth...

By speaker wire I assume you mean from your amp to your sub. Use 10 gauge on the FI. And for your question, OFC wire is OFC wire, just use what you can fit. Bigger isnt always better, but its never worse. (unless its shit wire) Not sure why youd save money by going with a 1/0 kit over a 4 awg kit myself...4 will be plenty and should be cheaper, I just buy it all individually instead of in kits. Im kind of OCD about having everything hooked up with 1/0 though, so I just use stepdown gauge adapters. Ive used knu wire, and I just much prefer the other brand names. Ive used tsunami and shok competition and consider them much higher quality wire. Im also not one to normally fall into fads or bandwagons. Like kicker...I hate everything kicker.

Tsunami, shok, stinger hpm are what I consider some of the best 4 gauge. Not a fan of knuconceptz. All of then should have decent amp kits on sonicelectronix.
