  1. I'd amp what you have. The Xplods helped add some vocals until I finished my doors. Been thinking about it. That point becomes a wire problem. But I think I have some spare wire around somewhere. Got plenty of 22awg, but I KNOW that's not big enough. I used 18g wire on mine. 22g might be a little small but I think I've got 14g on my subs. I'm sure 22g would carry enough for door speakers. Well my amp would be sending 150w towards the doors, and I'm pretty sure that's too much for that itty bitty wire to handle.
  2. Im looking for a cheap little power inverter that'll plug into the cig lighter of my car. Now, I found ones for low prices that say they'll convert 12V DC to 120V AC. But then it says 80w continuous and 150w max. What exactly does that mean? I basically only need it to plug a laptop into for a roadtrip, nothing permanent.

  4. Reading > You I asked him if he'd be up to helping me in the future, not if he needs my help.
  5. Looks good, but how will it sound? Also, I could use your help with an enclosure in the future, if you're up for it.
  6. My understanding is stock=power windows but guy before him decided to put hand crank windows.
  7. I just dont exactly have the money to upgrade my door speakers.
  8. Tuned in. It's good to see someone else with those Xplods. I have the full package they came in. The 6.5s, 6x9, HU, and hat all in one. Only use the 6.5s and 6x9s now though.
  9. I'd love to get my hands on a few of those to put in my room. Anyways, lookin good.
  10. I got a good 50ft of free 4/0, but I'm not one to boast.
  11. I live about 3 hours north of you and we get a least 3 inches of snow at least once a year.
  12. I'm no professional, but I dont think it's the best idea to ground it to the battery. Might be a decent idea to ground closer to the amp.
  13. I like 'em. In fact, that's sorta what I have in mind for my ride. But I need a 4x108 lug design...
  14. Hate to sound like a noob, but what does "on axis" mean? Also, I have the width problem as well. Sounds like the sound is coming straight out of the HU like it were an actual radio.
  15. I know they exist, but I can never find them. They're spacers that go on the axle that allows you to put a rim with 5 lug nuts on an axle with 4 lug nuts. I'd like to get some aftermarket rims for my ride, but 98% of them are 5 lug and if they're not 5, odds are that they are 6...
  16. My Lowes and Home Depot dont sell MDF, or at least nothing that looks like the MDF you see used in enclosures.
  17. It's good but I grew up with shit like the second one, so it's better imo.
  18. I'll tell you from first hand inquiries. It will take ALOT to do just the windshield, not to mention the side windows. I know a guy that does full car conversions for bulletproof/armoring.
  19. It would be too easy and not cost enough to get an alarm. That's the only thing i can think of.
  20. Looks nice and all, but there's one thing wrong if you ask me. Your steering wheel's on the wrong side.
  21. I get paid $8.25/hour. There have been times when I get beaucoup hours and get 13 hours in a single day. But lately my general manager has been making schedules and he's rather sexist... And I'm the only guy on my crew. Like this week that's about to end (our work weeks are Wednesday to Tuesday), I didnt even get 4 hours. And next week I'm only scheduled 4 hours... And Ive tried to get a different job and not a single reply.
  22. and save for the power series.. I'm a fan of the PUNCH series, and spending that much isnt much of an option. I work 3-5 hours a week sometimes, and after gas, I have only about $30-40 to save... And the sooner I can upgrade, the better...
