  1. THE TRUTH!!!!! However, I made a statement to do quality shows and not quanitity of shows. Having stated that if I can't make it for whatever reasons to SoCal location then, I won't show at all. Since Freeland took the idea, ran with it, promoted it, EVEN LOCKED UP A LOCATION FOR NEXT YEAR and not to mention the pure fact that SoCal needs a Defibrillator to get competition going again is just a few of the reasons to travel. Bottom line, it is an attempt to promote and grow the sport and stir up competition. I am confident in the competitors from NORCAL to make the show in Sacramento a success. ***back on topic*** More Pics? Any #'s yet?
  2. So RF back in the game and SD in the penalty box......... I guess I need to try to build a new box too. 150.0 not cutting it....
  3. -2 db's LMFAO!!!!!! I'm just fucking with you brotha.........Man what happen to all the talk "I'm done" "Thats it no more for me" LOL. BASS is like a drug. I WANTS IT I NEEDS IT I GOTS TO HAVE IT LOUDER LOUDER LOUDER!!!!!!!!!!
  4. It's getting closer so I figure why not............... TTT
  5. If you got port noise then thats bad but, if you got good sound and your moving a lot of air well thats good. It really depends on tuning and the opening of the box. I hate to sound like sales man for aero ports/flared ports but, its what I've used lately and its fairly easy to tune with. For an every day box i'd run 2 4" flared full length with everything firing up. the flared ports cut down on port noise.
  6. Personally I like a sealed enclosure for a good all around sound. However, a ported box is a more effecient and can sound just as good if not better than a sealed box if done right. The suggestion of sub up and port up probably will give you the best sound and be loud as well. If you liked your selaed enclosure sound better and wanted to just get louder you could always add two more 10's.......
  7. Damn Homeboy thats some sad shit and some serious drama. Don't trip that bitch and that fool will get whats coming to them. Keep your head up bro.
  8. AUTORAMA is a showcase for car enthusiasts. Unfortunately it doesn't focus around car audio. However, there is car audio manufactures there that bring out some of their own rides to show. It is basically just a car show. dB Dragracing and Usaci are normally attached/sponsored by a local shop. Of course this year the Nor Cal judge for dB Drag sponsored the show for the competitors in the region. The competition coverage is better here on SMD then on the AUTORAMA website: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=34272
  9. Looks like you got some work to do but definately got major potential. As for the wires bro, I picked them up here in Cali. Wires out here are HELLA CHEAP especially for 13's. However, I don't know if you really wanna go with the lowrider look on the s10. I put those wires and took those pictures for Cinco De Mayo weekend a few years ago. Here in San Jose the cruising and lowrider scene is prettty Hot esepcially for Cinco De Mayo. My truck has been on the irocs ever since the wires. If I bag the truck I might go to 20"s irocs but, until I bag it I'll roll what i got. Unless I come up on some cheap Boyd Conningtons for it. ***back on topic*** the c-notch stuff he gave you are probably just some metal plates. those are for the rear suspension. those plates are welded (or some times bolted) in place over the rear axle on the frame. once you start looking at suspension pictures you'll figur eit out. Looks like the truck sits nice already. Whats your plans for the front end? I want to put a phantom grill and smooth chrome bumpeer on mine personally.
  10. Only if you c-notch the frame. Which is the best thing to do if your going that low. You don't have to but your axle will be hitting the frame or rubber stopper (if you leave it in). Either way makes for a shitty ride. OH and if your gonna go 4" or more make sure you change the pitch of the rear end so you don't over stress the u-joints on the axles. I hope to be able to air bag my truck some day.
  11. www.stylintrucks.com I've gotten lowering suspension for my astro van a while ago as well as s10 parts from there. I own an '83 S10 which you can check out on my car domain link in my signature. I ended up doing a 2" spring and 3" block in the rear with toxic shocks all the way around. You can do up to a 5" 6" drop on it but you'll be hating speeding bumps.
  12. me and you...........lol it was definately a cool show. I just love watching all the homeboys. All of them just posted it up but, then when Brenton Wood hit the stage, well lets just say it was two step central. Good Music brought out some definate good vibes last night. However, it kind of reminded me of being at Lowrider show. Happy Ending Points!!!!!!!
  13. Well Mel..........we went out last night to for V-Day surprise. Did a double date with Sister and her BF and of course my GF and I. I coordinated with my sister's BF and we surpised the girls with Dinner and a local brewery (Rock Bottom) and then we went to a club. However, the club had a special concert going on BRENTON WOOD. If you don't know who that is sorry. It was FUCKING AWESOME sister and GF was definately surprised. BF and I got brownie points last night.

  15. If you keep this in the bay i wouldn't mind rolling through. I'm sure Redbaron and Got Fi would too. at least they showed up last time, unlike me.
  16. just pullt the deck out of the other FORD. All this time screwing around with speaker level input would of being easier just swapping decks.
  17. So looks like DC is in the picture which is definately a good choice. My only question is, does the silverado have the third door. If it does then tossing the back seat might not be such an easy option. Personally when I bought my Silverado I went looking for one without the thrid or fourth door. I just wanted the extended cab. The back seat was more so there for my dogs. However, I love my beat about as much i love my dogs so I had to compromise. Below is my first attempt, That kept the back seat in for competitionreason but seemed completely pointless neer the less. I eventually bit the bullet and tossed the back seat and threw in a box for 2 15's. Which was great but the dogs had no where to go. The first time I let them in I had one dog on my passenger seat and another dog laying across my 15's in the back. Thats when I decided with whats below: Same equipment in both pics just different boxes and positions. From all my trials just with this one vehicle I'd say do 4 12's in that bitch with or without the backseat. With the seat will take some fabrication but can be done. Youd' have to make brackets for the seats so they can sit higher and you'll have to flex some fiberglassing skills to get the most out of the air space. My friend and teammate at Audio Connections did a Silverado that way. 4 12's corner loaded with the back seat still in. The guy had a 3rd door too so the backseat was accesible. Without the seat well sky's the limit. Good Luck Guys!!!!!
  18. X1000 San Jose has definately been known as one of the biggest lowrider cruising scenes for a long time. Although, it is not the same anymore. I miss the days if you headed downtown right now it'll be packed. Posting up at the 7-11 on King and Story (which is gone now) or the O.G. days cruising El Camino.
