I know napa carries them for sure, I use them. -
Ya I seen that video and it was getting low to, those things can handle some serious power.

That sounds like a great idea, Skar1500.1D would do good on a pair of DC Lvl2's, or maybe just go all skar and get a pair of VVX's.

2 Level 2's or 1 Level 3?
RooTxBeeR replied to Tim Lam's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
How do you know you won't have the funds in 2 years to get a better amp? Might as well just cough up a bit extra to get the 2 Lvl 3 12's so you can upgrade wayyyyy down the line. -

not true. a good battery in the back and a good one up front and you should have no issues unless you run full tilt for minute or more straight. A HO alt would be in your best interest to get, but a battery will do for now. Just look at the cost of a good battery (~$250-300) and the cost of an alt (~$300-400). It takes power to make power. Well what basshead doesnt run full tilt? This guy isn't competeing, it's a daily driver. -
If your building a wall, and sealing the front off from the back, then why would you even question putting the port in the back? It must go in the front, always when in that situation. If you are really that worried about the roof, make sure you have a layer or so of sound deadening, and when you build the wall, make sure you get expanding foam above it to create a tight fit above the box and between the roof. Have you considered aero ports to?

Go with the Lvl 3's so you can upgrade later on.

Anyone know a Mario B Jones from Houston TX? He's a scammer!
RooTxBeeR replied to cc_audio's topic in Buyer / Seller Feedback
Wow, I cannot believe UPS is being like that, that is really bogus. And don't worry, I have still been blowing his phone up!!! -
how are you running 2 dvc @.5 ohm? dual4 will give you 1ohm and dual 2 will give you 2ohm Two dual two ohm subs can wire down to 2 ohms or .5 ohms.
-
He is talking about VVX line, not IVX, and he wants to know how much the VVX line can take. You putting 240 watts to the IVX, is actually underpowering them, and not showing how much the VVX can take

Lol this shit is pretty creepy. http://www.wimp.com/laughingbaby/

Clean power is all you need. Once I get a job and can actually afford a good system, I will be putting 2 VVX 12's on a 2k-2.5k Amp

Ya dude, never run .5 ohm load unless you have a serious electrical system. Your on a stock system wired to a load that will make some strong electrical systems get put to serious work. Wire it to 2 ohms and I doubt you will see protect anymore. Also, when you see your lights dimming, turn it down, that means your voltage is dropped below 12V, which is bad. -
If the knob is really, a variable bass knob, do not use it. It will only hurt your set up down the line.
