  1. lolol, sorry that shit happened, but I find it pretty ridiculous that an INSTALLER messed up a simple DVC
  2. Just curious, what failed on it? good luck. I was going to suggest contacting PSI audio, but it's more complicated with that square cone :/ http://forum.mwcaraudio.net/showthread.php?t=3408
  3. thats exactly what i said in my above post and people said thats a bad idea lol really? don't listen to me then lol. I don't mind doing it to my trunk, but a headliner is a different story for sure
  4. painters tape that and use great stuff possibly?
  5. Well it looks like I might be doing a recone on my new sub :/

I believe so. It only saw about half an hour of play, but it's blown. I'll find out what went wrong later. Next time I get eager to hear it play after getting it, I'll wait to use my buddy's DD-1 to properly set the gains :/

  6. lvl 6 isn't listed because so few are ordered from what I have heard
  7. if you do give it more than rated then you should be giving it clean power and no dirty tracks, use audacity to get those clipped songs clean
  8. I think mechanical limitations Edit: The same reason sundown rates their SA-8 at 500wrms as opposed to 600wrms like the rest of the line, even though we all know that the SA-8's can take a beating
  9. then blue to turn it onEdit: There is no blue?
  10. I thought yours came in a fancy box and had a fancy name brand to it?
  11. personally I like the 1st 10-spoke wheels that you used, they look very nice on that prelude. I've been a fan of preludes too, the car looks great
  12. looks really clean man. did you use a heat gun with the vinyl wrap or just glue? I want to do the face of my box in a vinyl material too possibly
  13. my friends get annoyed with me talking about my latest and greatest with my system too because they have no idea what I'm talking about, so I go to comps and make some bass friends out there from around the area
  14. My friends call me retarded for doing it and saying that I'm not loud enough all the time lol. I tried keeping it from my family for a while but they heard eventually lolol. They support the fact that I have a hobby to do and that my addiction isn't drugs. I've got no girl so there's no input from the women.
  15. Was 135 or 125 but it has been dropped down to 100 shipped.
  16. IB4L :lockd: on a more serious note though, I would go with the SA series. I have 2 sa-12s and I love them. I have never owned SSA dcon though
  17. Lookin nice man. I'm interested in seeing how these pillar tweeter pods turn out. Are you going to remove the metal bracing that is between your cabin and trunk? It looks like a pain in the ass with those seats that don't fold down.
  18. I never tried playing this on my system lol, you f'real?
  19. what do you mean do one at a time? my current setup is nothing i sold all my stuff because my amp blew. but my friend got a nice American Bass Hd15 so it made me want to get some beats back. Ddub847 was right. Instead of looking at the big picture (subs, amps, deadener, wood, misc materials, wires, alt, etc etc) just look at one stage at a time. It's a lot easier and less stressful. First though plan out exactly what you want with your given budget, and then decide which you would like to work on first (electrical or equipment)if you want that much power I would do electrical because if you install all the equipment and still have stock electrical, your equipment will be asking for more power than your electrical and put out and you will get serious voltage drop which is bad for your amp
  20. 150 db = a lot of time, effort, and money. you need a lot of wood for a wall to do multiple baffles. You need to do electrical too like HO alt, big 3, 1/0 gauge runs to back. A battery bank... the list goes on and on. you MIGHT be able to spend $1500-$2000 on just electrical but that's definitely a stretch. what is your current setup. I would do one at a time to be honest, starting with electrical.
  21. Is that actually bad? If you have the gain down it shouldnt be a problem... should it? yes, amps dont like having power and searching for signal to put out that just isnt there, i dont know the reasoning behind it, but i know they really dont like it. it's kinda like having the microwave on without food in there. It's bad because it has nowhere to transfer the power to. engergy in = engergy out
  22. does your fuse look something like this?
