  1. I would do a box behind the rear seats with the subs angled at the rear glass and the port pointing towards the back of the car.
  2. It'll be like this except instead of a wiring a 4ohm dvc to 8ohms you'll be wiring a 1ohm dvc to 2ohms.
  3. You'll need to wire the coils in series. Pos form coil1 to amp, neg from coil1 to pos of coil2, then neg of coil2 to neg of amp.
  4. That is a RF wiring diagram. Somebody painted the FI logo onto the dustcaps in the drawing. That might be why your speaker terminals didn't line up correctly with the directions of the logos on the subs.
  5. I'm guessing those are external dimensions, right? If so then you still need to subtract for the width of the wood being used. Assuming its 3/4" MDF then your internal measurement for the usable air space will be 28.5x18.5x13.5 = 4.1ft before displacement. Then you'll have to subtract the displacement of the subwoofer, bracing, or anything else that gets built or mounted inside the box. Allowing 0.25ft for that stuff you'll be looking at 3.85ft of usable air space.
  6. I got Nero 7 Ultra Edition off Ebay for $15 shipped. Its working great for me.
  7. Sounds like one of your subs is wired backwards.
  8. Hifonics Brutus bxi1606d $250 http://cgi.ebay.com/HIFONICS-BXi1606D-1600...1QQcmdZViewItem
  9. x2 on the above. RFs will handle 0.7ohms. The only good thing about it is the price. But its the weakest of the group.
  10. Sounds like a good plan to me. Go for it and take some pics/vids while your at it.
  11. The new RF Punch line does suck compared to their older stuff. The P3s don't compare in any way to the Punch HX2s.
  12. It was just a list of regular websites to buy car audio gear like thezeb & sounddomain. There weren't any "too good to be true" deals. Its a scam. Don't listen. If that guy knew where he could buy those subs that cheap then he would be reselling the subs on Ebay and not a fucking list.
  13. I bought a list like that off Ebay many years ago for $0.99. It was a basic list of a bunch of sites across the Internet that sell audio equipment.
  14. Given the same power, the 4 12" BLs should out do the 2 12" BTLs.
  15. I think that depends on your price range and which amp you get. 2 12" loaded BLs & a T30001bd or 2 12" BTLs & a T40001bd.
  16. Yeah I read and I'm not arguing any of that. I was simply stating my opinion that you shouldn't hate on them or bash them for hyping their product. They still make a good product.
  17. Normally I'd say go RF but I've been leaning strongly towards some FI BLs as my next subwoofer purchase.
  18. That's actually a little disappointing that they're not under rated any more than that. My next vote goes for the T20001bd. There's no doubt that it'll provide enough power.
  19. I'd go with four of the BL 12s.
  20. I don't see anything wrong with the hype. Its just a tactic to get more business. There isn't a need to hate on them for it. I personally didn't like seeing their stuff at Best Buy but I figured its just business. Hype or not, RF makes an undeniably good product.
  21. I'd recommend the new RF T1500-1bd. They're going for $500 on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Rockford-Fosgate-P...1QQcmdZViewItem I haven't seen any birthsheets on these yet, but if its like the other Power amps then you should get a good 2000+watts. These amps are also supposed to be super efficient so they'll be easier on the electrical system.
  22. I would verify everything. Check the power, ground, and remote to make sure their good. Then swap amps. Not only swap another amp into the car but swap that amp into another car. If you've verified that its the car and not the amp then it must be the deck (assuming there aren't any crossovers or equalizers in between). Check the wiring in the dash and make sure something isn't getting pinched or swap out decks all together.
  23. HDA does sell new stuff as wells, but not as cheap. I highly recommend them (even their refurbed stuff). All the work is professionally done by RF themselves, they give a warranty, and out of the few amps I've bought from them every one has looked brand new when I received it. If it wasn't for the description telling me it was refurbed I would have never known it. To me its just as good as buying a new amp and worth saving the $150.
  24. That sounds like a good plan.
