Which is why I said its a unheard of brand, but the specs seem to be good, it does seem a bit pricey tho for a unheard of brand. I personally wouldnt buy the xion, unless it was super cheap. Ive ran a old thermaltake for about 6 years, and when it finally puked I bought a 500watt dual 12volt rosewill which I was told they go poof too, also read alot of bad reviews, so far its working great. You can never go wrong tho with a corsair power supply, or corsair anything. The Corsair 750 is way cheaper in price then the xion, but the corsair only offers a single 12 volt rail, this will limit his ability to run sli down the road like he wants to, unless he uses the adapter plugs for power connections, or buy a new powersupply. Here is the 750 we are talking about. It does state that it is a sli ready power supply, but it only has two 6/8 pin harness for the video cards, and the newer cards are using two 6 pin plugs each. I leave my pc on 24/7, with only restrating when I got a cal or cevo match to play. My current 250 seagate has been flawless for over 4 years now. One of my old wd drives had the power connections short out some how, I have 2 other drives that got very loud and noisey not to mention that the seek time got very slow on them, it take for ever to open a music folder up. I have another drive that is over half full of bad clusters, and another wd drive that works when it wants (some times you gotta give it a smack, it likes to spin at very high rpms, well over 7200 that it should) It sounds like a helicopter. LOL some of my old wd drives.

Sounds good mang I think you will have a very fast computer. You will be amazed by it and very happy!! Also almost all cases will work with all motherboards. The only cases you want to stay away from are cases made for "micro atx" or "matx". The micro atx cases are not as tall as a mid tower or a full tower case, they are made for micro atx motherboards which are much shorter. A regular sized motherboard like you have selected wont fit in a micro atx case, but a matx/micro atx mobo will fit in all cases (micro, mid, and full tower). Just a little fyi for when your looking at cases. Oh and if you want to save a few more bucks, look for a case that does not come with a power supply. Theres a lot of cases that do come with power supplies, but they are cheaper no name brand low wattage/amperage power supplies that are $20 baddies.

Everything on the list above looks good and will be compatiable with each other.. Even if you decided to overclock or learn how to, your selected power supply should provide way more then enough juice, tho its a off brand name that I have not heard of. But you got a good processor picked out, a asus board (one of the better/best mobos), and corsair ram (which is the best hands down outta all memory companies). The msi video card is so so, Id suggust a evga card if possible otherwise at least a xfx card, msi is a tad on the cheaper quality side of things. Hard drive is alright, Id try to stay away from western digital imo. Ive use to run their drives until I got smart and stopped buying them and moved to seagate. Ive burnt up over 4 western digitals already, they seem not to last as long to me. Id also look for a hard drive with at least a 16mb cache, if not 32mb, and wont cost you too much more. Much better value then the Western digital you selected. Im sorry, but I like being able to play games at max resoultions with max settings... Something you wont get from a cheaper graphics card. Cheaper cards are made by cheap companies, even tho it still comes back to being nvidia or ati chipset, expensive cards and cheaper cards have major differences that I feel the extra money is worth. A 9800gtx made by evga is going to be of better quality as of a 9800gtx made by pny. The evga card is going to have a more effective heatsink design that not only cools the video cards cpu, but the memory as well offering better cooling for your card and cooler case temps, not to mention to overclock your card higher. A cheaper card will not have many of the same specs as a nicer card. It will have a slower core clock, memory clock, shader clock, less stream processors, etc. Depending on the company of a cheaper card, you will not have a good warrenty. Power hungry? I dont think so, it seems to be fine with a 550watt powersupply Im using. I guess if you buy a good or even decent power supply with at least dual 12 volt rails with 17+ amps per rail you wont have to worry to much about power hungry parts. If I didnt stick so much money into my car stereo I could spend more on my pc, but right now my pc performs just fine, it did before I did a few small upgrades. Im just looking to clean up any bottleneck areas as much as possible as cheap as possible. I also thought about running a sli setup. I almost bought a 2nd video card to my old matching card, but I quickly decided that a new card would be a better investment for the simple fact that 1 newer card with newer techology, faster clocks, and better cooling is going to outperform 2 older cards. And FYI I paid less for my new card, then what I payed for my old car, and my new card is at least 3-4 times better then my old card.

yeh, but they are pillsburry or whatever tho. there where 5 bigs ones, but I took the cinnamon from 1 of them and added it to the other 4, and had way extra icing for only 4. They where really good, and filling

Oh, theres only a $40 difference in your visiontek 4850 compaired to my evga 9800gtx ssc+ Thanks. But yea, the lights are kinda bright. It was a huge change from blue to white on the light output. But now with the fan controller I just run the fans at a lower speed so the lights are not as harsh except when Im gaming. but its good accent lighting in my living room

Did a little overclocking. I got my new amd 4400+ 2.2ghz now running at 2.66mhz. So only a slight overclock on it. Im wanting to get it up to at least a 2.8 or 2.9, tho I may have to volt mod my motherboard, unless flashing my bios again would unlock higher processor voltage. But I maybe already at the newest bios. so heres my new numbers on 3dmark06. 9996 so a little over a 400mhz overclock brought me up almost 1500 points I also benchmark higher then Erics newly upgraded pc "with his ati card that is "better" then my nvidia" Pwned ?!? nvida > ati

Im still learning the game, I wanna jump to the beta version so bad. but I gotta get a better feel for it first I can hold a steady kill death ration of 1/1 or better, but there are so many keys Im not use to using from playing my normal fps game. But Im getting hooked on it. I spouse you cant join a xbox server from pc either huh? That be cool if they figured out a way to intergrate game servers all together for xbox 360s, ps3s, computers Maybe down the road a few years lol

Yea, my moms rig with the 9600 is working fine, she leaves her computer on almost 24/7 and she said no problems what so ever, just asked her today when I was at her house. So I think I mentioned above that I was looking for a better cpu to try and limit any bottlenecking caused by my new video card in my rig. I didnt want to spend over $150 for a used cpu (and it be hard finding a new socket 939 without a outragious price) So I made a post on Overclock.net (great site, great people. Its like a smd version for computers ). Well anyways I got this private message from a guy saying he just built a new rig, and he was parting out his old one, but didnt even try selling parts or taking it apart yet. He said he had a amd socket 939 4400+ dual core 2.2ghz with a toledo core, $100 shipped. It came today in the mail. and well pictures The new cpu on the left, the old on the right. All artic silvered up Just a tool I got from my "sponser" It comes in handy a lot. This is what it says on it. "Call Us Or Screw It Up Yourself, RPM SPEED AND CUSTOM AUTO" but it worked good for the screws inside my case, also works good for tuning amps and such because its small. All put together, rerouted my wires a little bit too. Nothing major. Its hard to hide wires in a completly clear case. So now for the good stuff. Ive benchmarked my pc. This first screen shot is with my old pc parts. 3d mark 06 was used for both tests. specs amd 3700+ sandy single core 2.2ghz stock, running at 2.92ghz, so theres just a little overclock on it. 7997 3dmarks 1680 by 1050 res. And now with my new cpu. amd 4400+ dual core 2.2ghz stock, running at 2.2. Again same everything else. 1680 by 1050 res. 8463 3d marks So..... Yea... the dual core is faster then the old single core that was overclocked to 2.92ghz, while my dual core is at 2.2ghz. Now its time to overclock then cpu then benchmark again. Im so happy right now!!

Im really diggin this with the spectrum analyzer in the back ground. I agree with changing the colors on it. But What I would like to see the color change on is the spectrum analyzer. The bars are all green, towards the tops off the bars I think a few towards the upper middle to be a yellow, and then the way top ones be red.

I voted for my 3rd time today. I waited till about a hour before the polls closed to vote, seeing as how everyone was voting early, I waited for the last minute to do it hoping for no long lines, and it worked Altho I had to re register again which was kinda bs in a way, but its the rule. heh My old address was from my upstairs apartment before I took over the lower apartment of my 2 family house.

^^^ F U you damn cali people that dont have to deal with snow! Lol.. Only reason Ive had problems is because I drive where I shouldnt drive during winter (like un plowed roads). Otherwise Ive had no issues with the lights. The 2 tubes that cracked still work none the less. but you can see that the snow on the unplowed road is up to my rocker panels on my car. Street Glow is a very good company and is one of the best in led and neon accessories imo. The only downfall about the street glow leds is the scanning patterns. Where as the ICE leds will scan multiable colors at once, streetglows do not, they will chase back and forth, wig wag, beat sensitve, strobe, fade, etc, but they will only do 1 color at a time, so you wont see a yellow and blue at the same time or a red and green. I think this is why the Ice leds are so much more, I think they use way more leds per tub to be able to use 2,3,4,5 color scanning in the tube at the same time. They look cool none the less but just a tad pricey.

I ran some Street Glow Optix underbody led kits. Paid like $150 for them. They where decent, but snowbanks broke 2 tubes, now they are in my trunk. The Ice leds are expensive, Ive looked into them to replace my street glows, they offer way more scan features then what the street glows will do, and seem to be brighter then streetglow too. You will pay out the a$$ for the Ice Led's. I think their cheap kit is $400+ all the way up too $1500s. I was pointing out the fact that you are to use the positives on the amp to hook up the speakers. You hook the multimeters probes up to the amps they same way as you do the speakers, no matter if the amps are strapped or ran normal. and your talking about hooking the dmm up to one amps positive and one amps negative, which is not how you hook up the speakers, so its not how you hook up the dmm. If you dont have the knowledge to hook up a dmm right, how do we know you have the knowledge to hook up the speaker correctly? Since you are to connect both negatives together using both negative terminals on each amp (2 runs of 8 gauge), how would you go about connecting the multimeter to the + on the master amp, and the - on the slave amp??? At least you know not to use bassboost
