  1. I never did either when I first got my desk, then i started using coasters and well now its just like screw it. lol The cord looks at least 4 feet long. weither i plug it into my tower, or my keyboard It will have some distance away from my keyboard. I spilt lots in my razer keyboard plenty of times and it still works like a champ (tho I need to take it apart and clean it the next day or keys stick). I also found a few bowls of green leafy substances in it rofl. But I was thinking the same thing of it just cooling the bottom 3rd or so of the soda. Altho if it is true that it will cool to 45 degrees, thats pretty nippy (colder then most fridges. Tho if it does work, I think you would almost need 2. That way you have one keeping your current drink cold, and the 2nd cooling your next in line.
  2. Its a usb drink chiller to keep your drinks cool. http://www.xoxide.com/cool-it-usb-beverage-cooler.html
  3. Your modem is only has usb out?? Most the time modems are usb and rj-45. Vote no to usb to rj-45 adapters. What do you use for a isp? Dsl, Cable? Most likely your modem is leased to you (you pay a monthly fee for it) and its a warranty in a way. If it breaks, they will come exchange it for free, and call in the serial number of the modem, so you dont do nothing, if its a cable company you could even goto their store and exchange it there. As for buying a router, Linksys > the rest. You cant beat a linksys in anyway IMO. Price, quality, reliablilty, its all there with linksys.
  4. lol 2 of the new sundown 8s in that box.
  5. lol wow the last one was the best with the snorts (ms piggy).. Thought i heard a monkey someplace in it too towards the end.
  6. quit giving out my new song ideas.! my cheats for 2009
  7. I need a pair of 6.5s if you have any. Pm me or reply here on prices, specs, and what image for what speakers. (zip is 53083)
  8. Lol but why tape empty boxes? I still need a job rusty.. willing to relocate
  9. If your amps are each 1 ohm stable not strapped, when you strap them, the minimum ohm load is 2 ohms strapped. When you strap a pair of amps at 2 ohms, each amp see's a 1 ohm load. So a 2 ohm stable mono amp not strapped would be 4 ohm stable minimum impedance strapped. If you take 2 amps that are one ohm stable, and you strap them at 1 ohm, each amp is playing at .5 ohms.
  10. yup, I was correct, they are what I seen hiding in the back. I got: 5 1200 watt accumatchs. 4 500 watt accumatchs. 2 100 watt accumatchs (these are great for compresion drivers) Thats all I could find right away, but theres more someplace in the shop. I guess you can wire 2 together to allow more power handling. If you wanted to go this route, make an offer.
  11. I have every piece and then some.. Its nice knowing people that work at mcdonalds. The only pieces I dont have are the winners. The first 2 are easy to get, while the winners are all the hard ones.
  12. Do they look like big transformers? My friend has about 20 of these things on his shelf. I was being noisy in the back room a few weeks back. I had no idea what they where and he explained them to me. They look like a power supply transformer from a home stereo, got 6-8 wires and theres different sizes for different power ratings. I think the biggest ones he had where for 1200 watts (think he said they where the biggest made at the time) but now if you had a dvc sub you could run one per coil (which is what he did) but back in the day when he was setting world records he wasnt using that much power. I should of took some like he told me too. Its cool having a old sponsered competitor that has a shop. You can find so many oldies but goodies in his shop its not even funny. Old denon decks, bnib yup he gots them. Lol They look almost idenical to these if its what Im thinking what your thinking im thinking or something
  13. If you got 4 2400s and a 300 amp already, your amp will put out great power on a 12 volt setup. Maybe just teach your batteries, and have the ride plugged in whenever its not being used. You wont be disappointed. .... As flinkster says, they are a very great company. NEWSFLASH: Anything you buy retail is overpriced! If you shop around you can pick these amps up for around $750ish new, with warranty, or for around $550ish used. You would be lucky to find a rf t40001bd used for under $900..... But memphis is overpriced!!! Memphis stands behind their customers, they wont leave you hanging in the lane with a fried sub on comp day. I got a friend that runs memphis amps in his car, and their subs and amps in his spl vehicle. He is straight up cool shit, and he puts 6 15" cheap lil mojo subs to use with 12+ mojo 4kws. When he jumps in bassrace with his van he sometimes fries subs, but memphis always has his back with recones to replace all his subs if need be. The funny part is he is not sponsered by them, nor does he have to pay for the recones. But I guess thats the kind of service you get from a "overpriced" company. Seems well worth it too me! Taking first in finals, and 2nd in the world aint to shabby!
  14. If its for a daily driver install 16volt is kinda pointless. The added heat, and sometimes stabability issues, its not worth it. Although you may think you dont have the space, Im sure you do, your not thinking creatively enough Running a dry cell battery means you can mount them in almost any position except upside down. So you can lay the batteries on their sides, then start stacking them up. Id recomend a good aftermarket alternator, 250 amps or so, and maybe a MLA unit. One that will tell your alternator to charge at 15.5- 15.7 volts cold (which would be about 15-15.2 volts hot). Then have some good gel cells in the ride. Optimas at least, but perferble a powermaster. If you teach your batteries, you can get them taught to hold a 13.8 volt rest charge while the car is off. How you do this, is just put your batteries on a charger for a long period of straight time (like 2 weeks) on a slow trickle charge at 2 amps, in manual mode if your charger has it (if it dont, your charger will stop charging when the batteries are full). Then periodicly plug your battery charge in, and let it charge the batts over night or when you are not using the vehicle. The reason I say so many 16 volt batteries is for a couple reasons. The 16 volt batteries such as PowerMaster and kinetik is because the AH rating (amps per hour) is nearly have that of a larger PM D3100 or a K HC2400 battery, and the amperage that they put out is much lower. Not to mention the mojo 4ks do rated plus power, but they are current hogs and demand the power or they may release magic smoke. Now if your going to go and use cheaper flooded batteries like taking 2 8volt trojans and series them together for 16 volts, your going to need even more (lots more). Not only will you need 2 batteries to make 1 16 volt battery, you will probolly need to close to 12 or maybe more. Not to mention that since they are flooded batteries they can only be installed standing straight up. 16 volt setups can be a pain. Not only are you needing a aftermarket alternator capible of producing that kind of voltage, your going to need a regulator (some alt companies have adjustable regulators built into the alts but you have to reach around on the back of the alt to change your voltage(this can be a pain in some instals), while other companies offer a external regulator with a knob you can put where ever). After you got your alt and voltage regulators, you need to figure out the max amperage draw your vehicle has (headlights, a/c, heat, radio, wipers, etc all on). Once you know that, you can go shopping for step down regulators. Yes I said it, step down regulators... After you spent money upping your voltage, now you gotta step it back down for your vehicles every day electrical components or they will fry. Most step down regulators only offer around a 100 amp peak draw, so depending on your vehicle you may need to run 2 regulators (there about $100 each)...
  15. They can handle 16 volt without problems, with the batteries charging at 18+ volts. Be sure to have a good battery bank. 4+ 16 volts batteries per amp at least.
  16. thats what she said.... :yahoo: J/p. Looks like you got a good deal! Nice subs bro! you wont be dissapointed!!
  17. Yea, it was around 7:30pm tonight, seen applejack online and ingame Cs 1.6. Was gonna join the server, but 1.6 is for hacking noobs, and CS:s is where its at One thing about the valve anticheat system is, you can go into a vac secure server and hack, and be busted by server admins. But Vac will still notice that you used cheats to gain a unfair advantage on their game, and will ban you. The ban might happen a minute later, or it might happen 5 months down the road, and it dont matter if you been hacking for 1 minutes, or the whole time you owned the game. Back in the day, the vac bans only use to be a year, now its a perma ban. Just make sure no hacks are running when you log into your new account, or that one will get the axe too!!
  18. LOL You must of been hacking...... Thats the only reason!, and they wont email you back or unban. Once your vac banned your done. I seen it online today playing 1.6.
  19. lol if it was that easy... I think your still on my friends.
  20. Im not too worried about that.. I got a message back from him today, saying he wants it rewired. I guess its all hooked up, but its not as loud as it should be or something. He didnt give any pics, nor did I get a hold of my old friend that use to have those subs and amps. Went to his house but moved and its up for sale.
  21. Maybe brandon has gotten a bad batch of baskets and they keep breaking. lol Hairline cracks from the dies being to hot/cold or blisters from slow fast shot, or a bad intensifier hold. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/01nocomment8so.gif
  22. Speaker was series to 3 ohm. Fuse kicked with in 5-10 seconds when I ran it at .7 paralleled. my house is all 20 amp circuits, except for the 30 amp I was plugged into which is the outlet on my mid wall that I was plugged into which my pc powered sub plugs into. then one 15 amp for the bathroom, I also think my washer and drier have 2 seperate 15 amps, but dont pay attention to it as much. Its a fairly new box, with mostly all new romex in the downstairs.
  23. The bottom ones are the new ones.
  24. A $1100 seems pretty fair if its new. The new dd z2 lv can be had fairly cheap from a authorized dealer once there in stock. $1400ish. Bob is really cheap on prices at American Bass.
