  1. is it comming from the cover itself, or the plastic that houses the fan, or around the fuse? Your best bet would be trying to take out the 5 small allen screws (2 on top, 3 on the front by the switches) and remove the pin by the rca input/output, and try to put the cover back on again. There is a small grove that the cover locks into place towards the top of the amp and maybe it fell out.
  2. Since I was at a couple different after bars last night, they all had fire pits, but they where tiny pits, and they where all affraid of bigger fires. I ended up grabbing some mdf cutouts from my wall build for the pit down the block from me, and burned 6 circle cutouts up and some other crap. See what I mean tho, small fire pits and small fires, theres no fun in that! esp when your drunk and its 5am and your still drinking, you need some exceitment!!! LOl So today I woke up around 4pm and thought, I need a firepit in my back yard since my pool has been gone for few years now. So I went out to cut the grass, the last 2 times I cut it, I skipped over the back yard, and today I was amazed the lawn was almost 3 feet tall in some areas! and whats worse is I deceided to bag it all Needless to say Im pooped from doing the grass today, so maybe tomorrow Ill dig a "small" hole where the pool use to be and get a pit made. But here some back yard pics! Ill proboly burn the grass once it drys out, with any other scrap wood I got, and my old single 18 box.
  3. A great add on for all the directed alarms is the glass break sensor. Depending on the sensitvity you set it to, just a key rattling on your window will trigger the alarm. I got my 791 wired up with the glass break sensor, digital tilt sensor, shock sensor, pizzeo sirens inside the car, and 2 sirens under the hood (one siren more less a working dummy siren) Ive had no problems with the alarm yet, seems to be a good unit.
  4. All 3 of them alarms you listed with the lcd remotes are pretty much the same. They are all great alarms and all owned by Directed Electronics. The viper 791xv seems to be a popular alarm by many people on this site, including me. http://www.directed.com/
  5. damn thats alot of firecrackers! who cleaned up the mess afterwords? lol
  6. That really sucks man! I can not stand dishonest people at all. Things like this make it very hard to buy or sell online. Hopefully the guy will man up about it and either give you whats owed, or return the money. I really like the buyer seller feedback thing on this site, gives a great refrence for people to check the past transactions, but I guess in cases like this where the person got their account deleted and just made a new one does not help much. Maybe if the admins could ban by user ip instead of just deleting the users account may help just that little bit extra. Again hopefully things get squared away with you.
  7. x2? What amp is it? What subs are they? What voice coils are the subs? How are the subs wired series/parallel/both? What is your final ohm load at the amp? What is your gain set at on the amp? What headunit do you have?
  8. It should depending on what size stock amp you currently have. An additional battery takes about 10 amps to charge.
  9. I thought the miller chill was nasty, I just need my coors light or heiniken and im straight.
  10. Wow, that sucks man! my one rf amp and american bass 4 channel got a few floods, in the past. but both still worked.
  11. Its only a $250 mistake since one amp was paid for. And unless the person has a problem with shipping out wrong orders they shall not be fired. And once the companies books do not match up with their money vs inventory that person has the same risk of losing their job. I guess this thread kind of shows the honest/dishonest people. Oh and your friend that found the 200k.. Id feel better about doing the right thing and getting 1k as a reward then living with myself doing the wrong thing and having 200k to blow.. Sorry Im done with this thread. its making me sick.
  12. Be a MAN about it, and give them a call and be like I ordered one, I was charged for one, and got 2. Then ask them for a prepaid shipping tag and ship it back to them. Being honest will only work in your favor. They might say congradulations for being honest you can keep the 2nd one, or they may give you a discount on your next order for being honest. On the other hand weather you sit on it for a week, or a month to see if they come looking for it, it is still THEFT and it IS VERY SHADY AND SOMEONE I WOULD NOT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH. If you where the company and noticed the missing gear Im sure you would be disappointed that no one took the proper steps to return it, and be upset that you are out that money, and Im sure you wouldnt want someone doing something so SHADY, DISRESPECTFUL, AND CORRUPT to you! And remember IT IS traceable back to you, all they have to go through and look thru the people who ordered that item, when they see 2 items sent for the price of one, and the double in shipment weight they will know where their mistake was made at. People make mistakes all the time, no one is perfect, but keeping something that does not belong to you is not a MISTAKE.
  13. wait, he has a integra, thats what coreys car is too. Did they make a hatch and trunk version? lol now Im confused! awesome smilies!! Oh well Just tried to help with a wall idea for him
  14. And since I just spammed the hell out this thread, Ill show his van burping vehicle. I think it was doing a 163.3db, and he bassraced the can at drop fest in the 149.9. Oh and those are legal scores for bassrace, and burps, sealed up TL on dash.
  15. DB with 2 memphis mojo 4000s and then 4 memphis mojo 4000s
  16. Im sorry for posting this david, but he wanted a wall if I read right and not a box Integra wall with 10s anyone?!? This is Corey, another wisconsin competitor. He is loud in both his rides! His bassracers.
  17. Chances are that the green or black maybe a constant power such as on a headunit, while the other wire is a ignition switched power (like a remote wire on a amp).
  18. I also got a kicker kx 650.4 that is needing a lot of TLC! $50 + shipping

  20. I really dont know what they are worth in non working condition. I had one repaired by cia engeering, at the time It fried I want to say it was due to low voltage. My car had stock electrical system, with just a red top under the hood and 0 awg wiring. After wiring upgrades where made ( big 3, iraggi 300amp alt, transpo voltage regulator, two pm d3100s in trunk) I put it back in. It bumped for a while but then went out again. I looked at the board and it was one crap repair job. The mosfets that where replaced where just soldered to the old mosfets legs, as if the board was never removed from the heatsink. I was quoted around $300 to have the amp repaired by db-r electronics with all new matching fets. The other amp I put in when I built my wall. A cheap $3 battery in my dmm caused me the death of the amp. My bluepoint dmm read 0.9 ohms to 1.1 ohms. I thought I had a lot of box rise since my coils where wired in parallel. After the amp fried I checked to see if my subs where ok, and the shop dmm read .2 to .3 ohms. The amp played for a while but got hot at that ohm load. I clamped it and had almost a 400amp draw on the amp at around 13.5 volts on music, not a tone. After buying the amps I learned that they are not a daily amp just a burp amp. Id really like to get them repaired and strap them at 1.5 ohms and hear what they can do! I think with a good electrical system and a .7 load they would do great in a daily car. But now funds are low so I want to try and sell them, and hopefully buy something else for my subs. Heres a few pics, I can try to find a better camera if need be since my digital camera is dead. There are a few slight scratches. Id rate one amp 9/10 and the other 8/10 cosmeticly. They are my babies, even tho they are not working, but they are some dead sexy paper weights. I still have the originonal boxes and owners manual, the boxes are a little beat up tho. Im looking for offers, I would like to sell both amps to the same person at once. I have a price in my head, but not sure on it. The amps are pretty rare in the USA, and Im not looking for no low ball offers. no low balls please. If they dont sell I dont care because I have something that is rare and when the econemy is better Ill get them fixed. REFS http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...showtopic=19594 Each amp is rated at 13.8 volts, not birth sheets came with them 1200rms by 1 @ 4 ohm 2000rms by 1 @ 2 ohm 3000rms by 1 @ 1 ohm 4500rms by 1 @ 1 ohm 16.5 volts I ran the one amp for 2 days before I fried it at .2 - .3 ohms, it would beat for a bout 5 to 6 minutes before it would shut off for thermal protection. 10 minutes later it came back on, so each amp should have no problem burping at a .25 ohm load, if not lower.
  21. You are too use a test tone while setting the gain of an amp. They say to use a 50 or 60 hz test tone. Most amps are also rated whatever they are like lest say 1000 watts rms at a certain tone. Most the time its a higher number, higher then most people use in a daily enviorment. Same as when you see people bench amps, and they pull off these crazy high wattages, they always seem to be benched at a high freq. Try redoing the gain with a digital multimeter and a lower freq test tone. If your box is tuned for 35 hz, try a tone around 35 hz and see if it sounds louder. Ive asked many times about them gain calculaters weather they are to be rms or peak wattages, because I tried using them to set my big amps and it just didnt sound like the 3000rms it claimed to be set at on music, but when you played the tone you tuned your amp with it was loud. So just figure out your box tunning, and redo gain settings with the tone your box is tuned at.
  22. wow sir! you are fucking nuts! Im looking forward to seeing progress!
  23. Take that back twigz. The knukoncepts wire is about 5 feet for each run. and the DB Link wire is a couple inches longer then 3 feet for each run. You aint gonna find over 30 feet of 8 gauge wire for $5 or 6 bucks any where
