nice to know im not the only one who does that, anything i dont like ends up in my dads hands, and he seems to love it. The wife gets the first go around of hand-me-downs then the parents and in-laws. I can't bring myself to get rid of anything.

Had 2 sets, gave them to my parents. They like them over the stock
-
I had the silver ones.

how many alts and what kind did u have? 1 Alt and it's stock.

There worth the money. I have 8 of the 800's and they take a 1400 amp draw of the amps I beat them to death all day at shows and they never let me down. what kind of power draw do you have?
-
I've had the Kappas and wasn't happy with them at all. I ended up giving them away to my parents

LMAO! well I guess I like to play my system for more then one at a time then :^ -
If you need more power then add a battery. With enough runs of 4 gauage you will be fine. Make sure you fuse it and run it close to the amp. Caps are fine for some cases but for all out more power your going to need more batteries.

Here's what I would do... Given your 12 count I would break it down into 2 groups of 6 That will give an ohm load of 1.3 Series / parallel OR .33 parallel / parallel each group. I would look at the Hifonics Goliath, it puts out 5K at 1ohm. That would work well with one amp if you ran all 12 off it for the time being at .66 ohm. With box rise you will be around 1ohm anyway Then when you have the cash get a second one and strap it or seperate it off. Sometimes amps will put out more power if there not strapped. BTW hit up WCA Rusty for a killer deal on a goliath. :^ http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/forums/in...hp?topic=1417.0

I think the truck shows well and gets a lot of attention when I'm at shows. I think it would make good advertisement with as many demos I give. I can't even think what I could do with some real power and some subs that could handle it. I think bassrace and streetbeat will be what brings manufactures back into the sport. Hell I've been talking about the equipment I have now as if I worked for the companies, and they don't even know who in the hell I am. -
Screen up, I've maybe used it 5 times since I've had the truck. It's just too much flex in the roof for it. it sits in the garage with dust on it untill I get around to looking at it. I have plenty of other broken things to fix first.

ces

CES is only open to people in the Biz. so you will need to hook up with someone with a shop. Rooms are hard to find unless you want to spend a grip. If you can go it's worth the trip -
Well at least it's the same maker so that should help. My advise to you is to hit up a dearership and make friends with the parts guy. also I would look at a repair book for both cars and double check the electrical wiring breakdown for both. with a little work and some time I don't see why you couldn't change them out. Good choice on the new ones :^
-
Not sure about the controls but you should be able to change out the knob real easily. What do you have and what do you want to change to?
-
U can get it done for free at most parts stores. I bought one 4 30 bucks from harbor freight tools that works just fine.
