  1. I like a sub with a high motor strength in a well designed ported or BP box
  2. Looks like it. http://www.termpro.com/asp/officialevent.asp?EventID=12971
  3. Too bad you are out of practice. Its like a riding a bike don't even trip....... Do I hear a Monetary challenge? I'm always open to a gentleman's wager
  4. I think it really depends on what your system expectations are. If you are looking for a basic "upgraded" sound, but want it to look good, then matching gear is important. If you are looking for an all out sound, then you want to cherry pick what is going to work the best. Sadly, most main brand, full line card companies have lost focus on making a very nice well rounded product line. Some guys have very nice decks, and so so on the amps and speakers. Others do very well in amps and can't build a sub to handle the power their amps make. It sucks, but I can't blame them. The consumer for the most part ( not us fanatics on stereo forums ) are just out to get a little better then what they had. Not too many of the retail market care about quality like customers years past. The manufactures are left fighting the battle to zero. All the while leaving their retail partners out in the cold to make little money to have qualified experts in their stores to sell quality products.
  5. I have it on my truck. Works great. No issue at all with it. It's nice to know that even when at a questionable distance from the truck, you still know what is going on.
  6. Thanks man. Did you mount one in your mirror yet? Got pics? Not yet. picking it up when I grab the volt meter too.Just waiting on Steven to text me when it's ready BTW, you suck for beating me to my idea
  7. Guess I wasn't the only one thinkin mirror mounting. That turned out nice!
  8. Without a doubt. Want to bring attention to your ride by the cops, lite that fucker up going down the street.
  9. I agree with that. Nothing worse then spending the time to work out a nice box for someone just to have them build it differently, then bitch it doesn't sound good.
  10. You might want to be careful on who you have "design" you a box. while there are a few good designers on here, There are plenty who claim far more then they have proven
  11. The selenium 6 is good till about 140hz Any lower and they lose attack. they will come apart under 70hz with some power so watch out. IMO, it is easier to find a bass driver that plays higher then a midbass to play power. I use a DC 8 from 53hz to about 240. Fills the gap very nicely between the selenium 6's and the subs.
  12. My UPS guy is very cool. If we are not home, he will take the package about 2 miles across town to the inlaws place.
  13. Thats a really good site, how did you stumble onto it? Been buying from them for quite a few years now. They were a good source for power lugs before they discontinued them
  14. Or just like Joey, and just clamp bare wire between two pieces of copper bar?
  15. Same here in CA. Don't go to the police station. Their first and only response will be that it is illegal. What you need to do is look online for your states vehicle code. It will be covered under lighting, aftermarket accessories and most likely displayable signage. Mine was in all 3. Read up on them, if they are in fact legal then print out those VC and keep it with your registration. When you get pulled over, and YOU WILL, politely discuss the VC with the officer. Then happily accept the ticket you are going to get for it anyway. Once you are in court, you can then state your case and get the ticket dismissed. Oh, one last thing. If you plan on driving around with something that draws attention, then you better make sure your car is 100% legal. If not, it can be a long night for you.
  16. Only issue is with that one, other then the price, is that the post for the fuse and where the lug attach are too close for the 4/0 lugs. The best you can fit is some 2/0 lugs. The one I posted on above shares the same post for both the lug and fuse. Plus the cover will fit around 4/0 wire
  17. Sometimes you just have to look a little deeper for the right gear https://www.vtewarehouse.com/content/electromech/fuse/html/anl/anb753.php I use these and their quality is top notch
  18. Once you get past the expense of the pumps required and the fitment issue under the hood, you could power everything you could dream of. I looked into the under hood part and quickly decided I didn't have pockets deep enough for such a project.
  19. Lexan isn't cheap, but does make for a cool looking box. Guy out here does them and to be honest, I haven't cared for the sound of them. They seam to resonate different from a wood box.
  20. Don't go back. If you were fed up the 1st time, it doesn't get any easier the next time. Been there done that. Do what you LIKE to do, regardless of the pay. When you are ready to go make more money, then you will. Dealing with bullshit just to have a couple extra bucks in your pocket isn't worth the trouble in most cases. My job now is no where close to what I was making on the other side of the industry I am in. However, my lack of daily stress level far out weighs what I could spend making more somewhere else.
  21. What no little scrappy for him anymore? Must not get good gas mileage with all the quadwood
  22. Hottie approved. The cameraman should be beaten with a hose for his lack of "creative" camera angles
  23. I have some of each here in the garage, and if it was my money, I would spend it on the Damplifier.
