  1. The "sail" area isn't that bad for tweets actually. At least I don't think so. With some aiming, those are some okay locations. The mid's shouldn't be that high up, or at least they don't have to be, whereas high tweeters give the illusion of height, like megalo said.
  2. haha i sure wish it was. I wouldn't be fiberglassing door pods right now if it were. Although they still look nice.
  3. You should be able to fit two btl's back there.
  4. What makes you say that?
  5. What's the plan for the upgrade? Other than the two 4k's that is
  6. Sell 'em! You could easily snag like 600 or 700 for each one of those.
  7. Yea I definately want to deaden my doors and the back door. And I want to deaden the mounting points for the rear a/c controls. Is that thing just clipped on? I don't want to start pullin on it and break one of those little POS plastic tabs
  8. All I know is that it works alot better, at least in my experience. It wouldnt flow down thru the wire without using the flux. That may have been because I was sandwiching 2/0 wire into 1/0 terminals, and was cutting off just enough strands for it to fit. Maybe it would have worked better with the proper sized wire/terminal combination.
  9. I've been meaning to ask you for a while, are you running any sound deadening in your car? If so, where at in the car?
  10. Exactly. I want the solder flowing down among the wires and all in between the wire and the ring so it basically becomes one solid piece of metal.
  11. This is why youre the man meade! Haha I love it! Looks even better than it did.
  12. That's awesome man. Do you somehow know someone who owns one or did you just pay a place that had one to cut the wood for you?
  13. lol its pretty much the same method. and nismo, this is more akin to gas welding than it is to soldering. You just use solder as the metal.
  14. It's pretty easy, just take a propane torch, heat up the top real good, (make sure you coat the wire with flux before you put it in the terminal), and then start filling the top with solder. Then I like to take the flame to the outside of the terminal, because doing that flows the solder down into the ring, and provides a stronger hold. I use a loot of solder on my terminals. And then I just fill the top in when I'm done, sometimes having to grind off the extra.
  15. No the Fs is around 10 hz lower on the T5. It's more than just the VC config.
  16. It's all about soldering wire inside the terminals. That bitch aint never comin off!
  17. The T5's are a little more oriented to SQ than the T4's. And they look a lot nicer. They're pretty good for the price
  18. www.woofersetc.com has a loot of different brands..great selection.
  19. Rainbow, Focal, Morel, MB Quart, RE, CDT, any one of those have a solid reputation for speakers. There's more I'm forgetting, but theres a pretty good selection.
  20. Power ISO is a free program that can mount image files for you.
  21. Planet Audio is pretty good stuff. I think that would sound real good
