    i'm not exactly sure what coil configuration the sub is but each amp is strapped at 1 ohm so a final load of 2 ohms I think.

    the amps are strapped at 1 ohm. it's enough power, no need to bring them down to .5

    yeah well the installer refuses to tune low on daily drivers, if it was an spl vehicle he would've tuned lower. It still gets pretty damn loud and low imo.

    My friend has the N2 BTL 18 in his SUV on two audioque 1200D's strapped to 2 ohms, do you think 9 cubes is too much for the 18? I don't know what the box is tuned to, i'm guessing 37-42 cuz it's a daily driver setup and the installer didn't want to tune it lower because he believes those frequencies aren't in music SMH.

    damn those subs look pretty bad ass, wats the power handling on them? I believe they are "rated" at 1000rms BTW what does Iirc mean? i've seen a lot of people use that on these forums but idk what it means? If I Remember Correctly ok thanks man!

    ummm who the hell told you rockford makes low end stuff? maybe their prime series isn't all that great but punch is good and power series is fucking amazing imo and many others, lots of people say their subs are paper weights idk what to say about that because iv'e never owned the subs, but their amps are amazing.

    A friend of mine got these lightning audio subs and amp installed at this local "professional" audio shop, he tells me lightning audio is like a baby company of rockford fosgate, that they just came out, I called BS on him. Is this true or not?

    maybe ill put this to the test when mine comes in. yeah I think pretty much all ipods do that cuz my ipod at max volume hooked up to the head unit aux, makes the head unit distort at 30 out of 35, if I put a CD in it distorts at 34 out of 35, I know i still need to get it tested with the DD-1 though.
