What's with the rentamods? If someone makes a vs. thread people chime in to try and enforce one rule, but in doing so ignore another. Plus all the extra replies bumps the thread and gives it much more attention than it should have. What's the sense in that? I'm not trying to say anything to anyone. Oil change today. Going to try the thickest oil I can for the temp -- 10w-40 vs. the 5w-30 I've been using. Hopefully it will quiet down the subaru piston slap a bit

I do mine every 3k, 4k at the max, 10w 40 with a quart of lucas oil stabilizer or whatever it's called.
