I am in no way bashing them, just simply posting this so maybe someone else can help. In August I bought a 170amp alt for my 02 grand am, it lasted a month and the regulator went out no big deal, got it back and was working great. 3 weeks later, I start my car in the morning, I live in PA so now it's winter out. I pulled out of my drive way and my voltage is reading 11.9 so I kept driving and after about 4-5miles the alt will kick in and reads 14.8 This has been going on for a 2 weeks, seems like the alt won't work in the cold and of course it's hurting my batteries and my heat don't work unless alt is working. I contacted mechman a few times and told them my issue, Bryan did say to send it back and they will fix, well I don't want too bc for a alt to shit out twice in like 2 months is not cool, it's a pain in the ass to change the alt in my car, let alone the timing belt. I want my money back or something. But I called 5 times and they said they will call me back and all this and they have not. Seems like I'm being ignored.. Not bashing mechman here, I just need some help. This is a weird situation

^^ lol It's awesome what you do, I got a few friends that don't like you bc all you do is rep RF and that's not true and also RF does a lot for you as well. i use -10db track, i play decaf and i have zero issues....if the song is peaks at lets say 39hz at -2db if its clean then its not gonna matter if gains where set with -5 or -10db tone, i can play a song that is at -8db that is clipped and ill have more issues then playing a song at -3db thats clean. make sense? it does to me so maybe someone else can chime in. here is a example. regular gorilla zoe-money man, my voltage drops to 12.2 driving decaf money man, voltage is at 12.9 why? its clean so i have no issues

That sucks Chris lol I had that happen to my kenwood. It's still stuck in their, can't fix it since someone last year stole just the faceplate. But I guess I can leave it alone I have no issues, it was just on my mind

Ok, I never use my iPhone just always USB, so I take it I should use track 5. -10db on a USB to set my gain?

When using the DD-1, lets say you use USB do you still use the CD to set gains or do you need to use a USB. Same goes for iPod n CD ya know? Might result in more clipping? I listen to nothing but USB, some CDs too
