  1. Easy way to do it is grab some 3/4" plexi and just double up 3/4" mdf on the side you want to have the window. Then just create a recessed spot for it to sit in with a 1-1.5" lip to sit on all around.
  2. This is a dual 12" box design for Joe Hanna. This will be going in the cargo area of a Chevy Trailblazer. The final box specs are 2ft^3 in each chamber with a 32hz tuning. Overall dimensions are 46" wide x 15" tall x 19" deep with a 12.75"x4.5" port.
  3. 3.5-4ft^3 with a low 30's tunings works nice in most cases.
  4. I lived in Denton for ~3years when I was going to UNT. It's definitely a college sort of town. Kind of old, but with new stuff popping up...if you like to go to bars and shoot some pool or play some darts, it's a great place to live. I can't even imagine how many thousands I have dropper at JR Pockets and on Fry Street during those three years.
  5. ^^^ I tried emailing you after you submitted your design request, but the email you provided didn't work.
  6. Here's a box for memphisBred on here. Dual DC Sounds Level 4 18's in 12.3ft^3 with a 35hz tuning. He requested to only double up the front as he will be adding MDF to the outside of the rest of the box on his own. Oh, and this will be going in a Ford Explorer Sport.
  7. lol seems pretty obvious since he said the woofer says "3hp" To us, yes. But the guy wanted clarification since he was unsure due to the different branding. Maybe the OP doesn't know that TC Sounds makes the 3hp motor, or that the 3hp stood for what motor it was...which seems likely due to the fact that this thread was created.
  8. Depends on the overall dimensions of the box, thickness of material, and the layout as to where/how you'll need to put bracing.
  9. It'll actually control excursion better at the lower frequencies around the tuning frequency. Tuning at 30hz, for instance, is going to load the cone in the 25-40hz range pretty well and control excursion while the port does a lot of the work.
  10. Works fine in most cases. Overall response depends on other factors as well.
  11. Feel free to PM or email me whenever you want. Or just submit a design request by following the link in my sig.
  12. This box here is for ThaWaxShop, who is on several of the car audio forums. This is for two custom 15" subs using the Soundstream XXX motor as the foundation. 3.3ft^3 each with a 32hz tuning.
  13. Please PM me with any offers. I'm looking to trade my Alpine MRV-1507 old school(ish) 2 channel amp. I'd like to do a straight trade, but will add a little cash if need be for the right amp. I like simple looking amps, but wouldn't mind something sleek and chrome to match my chrome US Acoustics amps. 225x2@4ohms 450x2@2ohms 900x1@4ohms
  14. Glad that you're happy with it. SoloX's are some nice subs, they just tend to get talked bad about because they're Kicker and aren't rated to take 2x's their rated power.
  15. I know someone makes some custom 8"' ports, can't remember who though.
  16. I've done 45hz with a few boxes and it works quite well for most subs. I like a fair amount of low-end as well.
