ya know I should really listen to you guys more? already I can see this becoming a huge pain in my ass. We found a garage thats AMAZING!...should say I found a garage thats amazing.... Used to be an auto body shop, 3 bays, frame lift, 55 gal. compressor, small rooms for mixing paint, EPA certified to spray auto paint, big ass exhaust fan (glassing heaven), dirt lot in front that can fit 8 cars, even a 10 foot locked gate so its fenced in. Literally its everything we want. 1200 a month and hes willing to go month to month so no 1 year lease. Only problem is, my friends wont answer the goddamn phone! Im doing everything here; talking to the owner, setting up the rental agreement, meeting with him to see the place. Which I dont mind doing since I know things get lost in translation easily so Id rather do it myself. All they have to do is pick up the phone and answer my questions. And they dont pick up. I want this place. it would make my summer 1000X better. I was actually considering dipping into my bonds to make sure its mine. Normally, Id say fuck calling; Ill show up at there door. But Im out in Detroit and 700 miles away so I cant. I dont want to lose this place, and if its because of these guys not answering there phones, Im gonna be PISSED!

do the towers still work or just shells?

So I get a call from my Ma down in Georgia; she went down there last weekend to visit her brother. Shes talking and shit, then says "oh btw, John (my uncle) says if your willing to come down and get it, you could pick up my father's car".....now, my grandfather owned a 59 Cadillac.....thats been sitting in my uncle's garage for a long time. Everything on it is original....she told me that he wishes he could do something with it, but doesnt have the cash and time to do it. He said theres some rust on it, but who cares?! Thought Id just share with you guys....

its pretty much up to them. most of you guys are right, just make sure the shop is a good one. Theres one near me who wont talk to you unless your buying something. But now I found another one thats 45 min away.....but Id rather go that far to buy from them, then buy from the place a couple minutes away, all due to the fact that I can go in there and shoot the shit with the owner if I want to. But it comes down to if you know it well, buy online and install it well.....but theres no warranty.

So me and a couple friends decided that we should all get a garage/garages this summer....( I want to run in DB drag and mama-dukes wont have the smell of fg in the house anymore) Ive spoken to 4 different realtors so far, and let me tell you, its like trying to explain your situation to a monkey. No offense if your are one, (a realtor not a monkey....sorry if your a monkey) But it seems as though it would go 100% smoother if I just talked to the owner straight up. No wonder people use things like craigslist to sell it themselves. I even found a previous car audio shop with 3 garages that ended up falling through because the realtor told me no....just no. Have any of you guys ever tried to find an extra garage to work on your car? May is gettin closer and closer and theres no way Im not gonna compete this summer.

weird week. Tranny is still a little harsh but the fluid is a little above the middle of the hatched marks (where its supposed to be) and still a nice color red. I looked in both manuals I have for my car, (Chiltons and Haynes) and no mention of a tranny filter...at all. I thought that was really weird. So I went to a couple friends who are mechanics and they said its possible I dont have one. So basically Im saying f**k it and gettin one in may for 500 bucks with only 25-30k on it. Ive heard bad shit about Honda transmissions before and figured this has close to 120k on it so I mide as well change it if I want to run the car into the ground. Thanks for the help.

to be honest....you got another test that doesnt involve the brakes? Not wild about the idea of doin this....my brakes are slightly warped as is (they do it like clockwork every 5-6 months).

ah ok. Then what does it mean when it shifts harder? Definitely will check the fluid when I get home tomorrow. Im wondering if I should change the fluid/filter again cuz its been probably around 6-7 months since I did it last. Than again, it sits in my garage while Im out here part of the year.

I got a 95 accord LX at home and the tranny started shifting a little harder. I wanted to make sure it doesnt go on me this summer, cuz I plan a trip to the Tail of the Dragon every year....plus Im gonna see if I can get enough cash for a drop before the trip too (Tanabe Sustec II coilovers). So is there any real way to tell that your tranny is going/gonna go soon? I already started shopping around for another one and can get one for 500 thats only got 20-30 thou on it. But I want to see if anyone knows any tell tale signs to plan on changing it soon.
