  1. that could just have been a defect with that individual amp. it doesn;t mean MA is shit, they just need better QC.
  2. the black piece just looks like it is just a trim piece. I would check and see. if it is i would just take it off.
  3. you could always pick up an A3000db. I bought mine for 295 shipped, and it will put out good wattage.
  4. I have been wondering the same thing. I dunno about their products being crap. My 15" HK2's bang pretty hard, and they're taking their rated wattage well.
  5. just like those two links said. the type X is more of an SQ sub, and the Type R is more of an SPL sub. BTW I have heard a couple of Type R's and they are pretty damn loud, and actually sound damn good. I personally would go for those.
  6. I would shit a brick if I turned around and saw my 500+ dollar sub doing that.
  7. How do you like the eclipse 6x9s? I had the 6.5's and they weren't loud at all. I could hardly hear them over my factory 6x9s when I had them.
  8. s-10's/blazers rule all. 3 screws, and they pull straight off. I can have my door panels off in like 30 sec. On a side note I hat to put speakers in a buddy's bronco, adn was hands down the biggest pain in the ass ever. screws, clips and bolts, plus the handle to open the door didn't want to go back through the panel. super shitty if you ask me. thats why I stick to Chevy's.
  9. The thing about adjusting the mikes for higher scores to get more people interested is true. When I did my first competition they used an old ass AC meter, and I hit 143.9 with my old kicker comp vr's and with my new 15's and over triple the wattage I hit the same number on the TL. I probably would have been very discouraged to find out that my old setup wouldn't even register on the TL...and pretty embarassed too.
  10. Thats how my music is. I pretty much have every genre of music you could want to listen to, but rap, and metal/hardcore are the two most abundant genres on there.
  11. I have was listening to my Beastie Boys Licensed to Ill album yesterday, and I finally realized that the back track to Rhymin' and Stealin' was a sample of someone that I had heard before, but I cant remember the name of the song or the band, but I think it is Black Sabbath...although I am not sure. Would anyone happen to know what song it is from and who, if I am wrong about Sabbath?
  12. Same here. my 80 was full of songs and videos so I put all my videos on my old 30, and I have freed up about 15 gigs. Now time to get more music.
  13. LMAO!! that is great, I haven't seen those smilies used very often. You really do have a smiley for every occasion.
  14. 14" diameter? I think you would have to go to a plumbing supply store or something for that size.
  15. those things are badass. I have been thinking about doing something like that, but on a much smaller scale. I def. wanna see some vids, and testimonials on how those monsters sound.
  16. $$$ :^ I can onlyl imagine what 42 W6's would cost. I think it looks good but it seems a bit cluttered. Then again there are 40 subs there, so it is hard to make it not look that way.
  17. I have been telling him CVX's. I have heard the 10" CVX's and they sounded pretty good to me, I could have sworn that the guy had 2 or 3 12's, but low and behold he was running a pair of 10's. He told me that 1 CVX is on par with 2 CVR's of the same size. I dont know if that is true, but they were pretty damn loud for 10's.
  18. only a third of the size True that, I would like to see one in person, even more than a jackhammer.
  19. damn I wish I could afford those subs (T2's that is).
  20. wow, that almost sounded like a lowball, but im sure u didnt mean it that way lol wasn't he testing it out in his house? I was actually thinking the same thing. I am not sure if it would pick up anything from a home sub.
