  1. I believe Ray West has his subs up, port firing driver side in his ranger. And if he has it that way, then that is what yields the best results. But I'm not 100% sure if that's how he has it or not :/ hopefully someone else can chime in and confirm.
  2. Are they going to have DB Drag there this year?Looks like its official!!http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/162681-31713-1x-db-dragbass-race-top-dawg-bass-boxing-lake-peris-ca/#entry2355727
  3. Ok, I just poked around their Facebook page and it sounds like the are working out details for a dbDrag event, but I hadn't seen anything official. Hopefully you guys up north can make the trek down here for the show again
  4. Are they going to have DB Drag there this year?I honestly don't know...I don't compete so I haven't payed attention. I will see if I can find out then post back here unless someone beats me to it.
  5. LOLOL that's funny... Looks good rusty, are you bringing the van to the Lake Perris show again this year?
  6. Hmmm, it still isn't working for me on mobile...guess ill just have to wait till the final fix happens. Edit- Nevermind, it just started working again after I posted that
  7. I have a 2003 chevy Tahoe with 5.3 in it...what would you recomend for under the hood? I won't have a system in it for a while and when I do it will probably be no more than 2500 watts total. Let me know a price shipped to 92344 as well. Thanks!
  8. Kinda surprised that you didn't just default to Rockford Fosgate for the amps...either way, can't wait to see the build man!
  9. Saw this thread bumped, and got excited thinking Steve started something...well shit Lol
  10. I get this too. I also get the blank post when a video is posted. Also I used to get emails when I would get quote notifications but I'm not getting them anymore. Otherwise the sure seems a lot faster now! Thanks Steve and Kyle!
  11. I'm sure you have already thought about it, but is it something that would be feesible to make to order, but is that an option for the vu meter? Even if it was at a higher price?
  12. Your over thinking it man, just hook the single 2200 up to it and be happy. If you run a 2200 to each one then you will probably be doing recones a lot.
  13. Well you can't fix it really, but if you know you have the least amount of rise at a certain frequency then you can get the most out of your amps.
  14. The only thing I know of that helps combat box rise is running a Rockford Fosgate "constant power" amp. It's power output is almost the same from 1ohm through 4ohms.
  15. They don't either, cause as different frequencies are played through the subs, the final ohm load rises, and when your final ohm load rises the amp doesn't output the same amount of power. One of the reasons you can't fix this is because music is dynamic, meaning it changes frequency and is not just a single tone. Just hook up the AQ2200, it's a good match and will sound good. You shouldn't worry about how much power.
  16. Unless your going to be competing with tones and not playing music, then you shouldn't worry about it. Build your box to spec and enjoy the subs.
