I dont have the time to get into this right now, but i would recommend you take some time to look around the site and look through some of the member build logs before you go down the road of what you are talking about. I think you will reconsider what you are planning on doing and hopefully a much better system will come out of it. I'm pumped you are on here and trying to put some good sound in your car so be patient and listen when people try to help you out!

Build your shell first for the size of the 6th order but dont build into it initially. After building the shell, try different alignments of both 4th and 6th order designs and see what you like the best. Make them removable and then once you determine your favorite you can install it permanently. Thats my plan when I rebuild at least.

No thats really not bad at all. Its 2.66 total but each amp is seeing 1.33 so it would only be slightly less than the total potential if wired to 1 ohm nominal each. So assuming the APs are doing rated you would still have the potential to see 1000+ from each amp. I have never ran strapped amps personally but from talking to team mates who have and research I believe what I am telling you is correct. If someone wants to jump in and just confirm that would be cool.

Yep, you would have a 2.66 total load or 1.33 per amp. At this load you definitely will not have to worry about having too much power for the SAs to handle. Your box specs seem reasonable to me, I would probably tune a bit higher but either way I think youll be happy

curious too, what problems have people had with the stinger? I recommend them because i have never had a problem with mine...is it just the brightness? I do have the red with the "stinger" taped over

if you are primarily listening to gucci and yelawolf then you do not need to worry about real "SQ" in my opinion. But to your original idea, yes it would "work" there would be music. But you could design a single enclsure around the same goal that would achieve the same results and would sound alot better. The most simple definition of SQ imo is: playing music so that it sounds exactly as the artist intended it to sound.

No one can say for sure. If done well you should have less trunk flex obviously since the wood would be added bracing. Theoretically doing this could result in more air movement and a higher tl score but you wont know how much unless you try it and it may not be much at all. I dont have much personal experience building in trunk cars but when i built my wall shell i did some similar experiments. I had a small sealed box with 2 image dynamics 8s in it as my sub fill during construction and when i put them into the wall shell firing back against the back wall they were audibly 2-3 times louder in the low 50hz range but the low end pretty much stayed the same so it became super peaky. But i left it that way for a few days because it was fun choking myself out with a pair of 8s on 400 watts lol. The set up was acting like a 4th order with a very high tuning and huge ratio. You will probably notice entirely different results than that however, I am just using it as an example that it could change the sound output drastically. Whether it would be a change for the better or worse is hard to say

If you built it strong enough it would do what you are thinking and more or less behave like a 6th order. The gains however may not be worth the hassle imo.

Avoid any of the spray on stuff, rustoleum and duplicolor both don't have that nice real thicker bedliner look. I tried both. Then tried herculiner and its exactly what i was going for. You can get the smaller tin from herculiner (i think its about a quart?) It was about 25 bucks locally and it covered the front of my wall and my door pods with plenty to spare. well the internal dimensions you listed is what calculates out to 13.6 cubes so im assuming that port and other displacements would still have to come off of that measurement. Could be wrong though haha. Well with that power you could be alright with a smaller box. Where is your current port? Center or driver side? Again pics of the install would be helpful man. Are you just trying to hit a 150 or do you want a good sounding daily set-up? Have you metered it yet at all? Sorry lots of questions! so youve got a pretty small box for these subs. 13.6 cubes not including port, sub, and bracing displacement is going to knock you down to around 3 cubes per 15...how much power are you going to be running? Kinda need to know that before making any recommendations. To save box volume you could always try to do an external port as well depending if it wold fit. Any pictures?

Definitely possible...but this is kinda a big build to jump into without even knowing how to tune your enclosure. Is any of it built already or is this hypothetical?

pretty sure it peaks mid 30s area in the wheel house of most systems. Maybe you just have a poor quality copy of the song? What about it doesnt sound good? Edit: 31 and 40 are the two peaks i see looking at it

If you are building a big demo truck one really important thing to plan for is electrical. Make sure you can fit a couple HO alts in the engine bay and have room for your runs of 1/0 however you decide to do it. You can fit alot of box in most any car if you put in the time. Its alot more work to try to fab up and or do something custom in the engine bay just to fit more alts. Just something to think about
