interesting that there is that much of a difference. do yall have a magnifying glass for a roof? im just gonna have to admit that i dont believe for a second that there would be that much of a difference. There really can be. Living in Florida my garage can easily hit 100-115 in 80-90 weather if I don't open the back door and turn a fan on. but your talking about a 20 degree difference... he is talkin about a 43 degree difference, which is just a little far fetched for anything other than an attic.. -

and how hot is it where you are? in the shop i work in it gets 120 degrees in the summer and we just deal with it. a little sweat never hurt anyone. -
i thought about it but i didn't feel like going and buying it....plus, i have never tapped holes with a drill press, always by hand. Can it even be done on a drill press? I know you can do the holes, duhhh but what about tapping the threads? yes, you can tap holes with a drill press. we have 2 drill presses where i work that are set up for tapping. in some of the thinner materials i can tap over 1,000 holes an hour. this is what you would need... http://www1.mscdirec...d+Tapping+Heads for those prices, i think i will stick to doing it by hand LOL. Aluminum is soft so it wasn't really that difficult. Just time consuming with that many also, how thin is the metal that you can tap 1000 holes in an hour? that's 17 per minute. If you could actually do that many per hour, i would give you a raise for sure (if i was the boss). That number is dogging on a CNC machine so you must be superman LOL 14ga steel, 7 parts stacked on top of each other, so 7 holes in one shot.

having done alot of work in home theater, pro sound, and building guitar and bass guitar cabinets, i can say that birch is more than just a fad. it has superior tonal properties compared to mdf, and of course the obvious weight difference. though if folks cared for ultimate material as far as the perfect balance of weight, tonal characteristics, and strength, then they would be looking more toward poplar.

your and you're drives me fucking crazy too. but i have learned over the years to just use "your" on the forums since no-one else has a fucking clue there is a difference.

ill believe it when i see it. i cant see someone spending that much money on that much discontinued equipment. you do realize your talking about $24,000 of subs (which you cant get spares for anymore) and $19,000 of amplifiers that arent made anymore.

much respect to the people in the armed forces who actually do it for the right reasons!
