If you dont have any thin scrap wire try wrapping it a couple times with some thin solder (.032) if you have some. I actually installed some knukonceptz 1/0 today, without this little trick 5145 strands would be a nightmare, but it was a piece of cake.

Ordered my SMD DD1 tonight !!

One trick I learned is after you remove the insulation from the 1/0 take a thin piece of wire and wrap around it 2 or 3 times close to the end, hold it tight and insert the 1/0 into your amplifier (or ring terminal) then slowly take the thin piece of wire off. This trick is a must if your using a high strand count 1/0 gauge wire. Hope this helps.

After buying the streetwires 1/0 I realized it was CCA not OFC, so I used it until I could replace it.

Finally ordered some knukonceptz kolossus flex 1/0 to replace the streetwires crap I had. 50 feet will keep me busy for a little while.

Had a friend get this design for me. I ordered my 3/4 MDF and it should be in next week. Can't wait to start building it.
